    Here's some old footage that I've been meaning to upload for a long time! Sorry that I was not able to show the spray adhesive being applied. Somehow that video got lost, but it's as easy as spraying the can and giving it a moderate covering. After applying the glue, let it set for 5 minutes and then you're ready to apply the backdrop. Of note, apply the glue to the backdrop and NOT the backboard for a better finish. Thanks for watching! - Josh

    Wow. The back drop made a huge difference. I especially like the view with the high hood SD40-2 moving past. The background looked like real trees.

      Ali Muhammad unfortunately something happened and it got deleted 😩😩 I was not happy about it at all. However I do plan on doing the ballasting live maybe this weekend? I can do a recap on the process of installing it though. Sorry buddy.

      Ali Muhammad yeah I was totally bummed over it. I’m new to the live streaming. So I’m learning🤨 I have a video I started to make that shows me cutting out the straight sections. But it ends abruptly and I’m terrible at editing. Lol.

    Josh, I need to put Masonite up on a painted concrete block wall so I can apply this type of Backdrop.
    Do you think the 3M Spray would hold the Masonite to the wall or best to use some Liquid Nails Contact Adhesive in a Tube and Spread it with a plastic blade?

    • @nsmodeler24
      @nsmodeler24  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the 3M spray will hold it, but since that probable isnt the most flat, it would probably show through the relatively thin backdrop and cast some shadows. But that's not to say you shouldn't do it. If you have the option to add a flat surface (like masonite) I would definitely recommend it, but if not I still think it would be better than no backdrop at all. I don't have any experience with the liquid nails, so I'm not sure how that would work. Sorry!

    • @doublediamondrailroad5949
      @doublediamondrailroad5949 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      NSmodeler24 so you’re saying Don’t use Masonite for the Backdrop Board material?

    • @tomclark4654
      @tomclark4654 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here is my 2 cents. (This is Dad) I would use liquid nails to apply the Masonite to the wall and I would use a madonary screw every foot or so. Try to find a flat head screw so it is flush with the surface of the Masonite. Then use the 3M 77 to glue the backdrop to the Masonite. That should keep everything quite secure. Even though the liquid nails should work on it's own, I tend to like the backup of physical attachments. Nothing ever comes apart after that and it seems to keep everything together during expansion and contraction periods.
      Tom.
