Oh it is labor intensive making a lemon meringue pie compared to say a cheesecake, especially making it the true og style Matty here is making it. My grandmother before passing away had a family famous recipe similar to this (minus the cheesecake aspect) for lemon meringue pie. My family now is dissatisfied with every lemon meringue pie they touch since her passing, but no one knows what her recipe is. However I think Mattie has to be the closest even down to the albeit flimsy torch because she didn't have a fancy torch, because that's exactly how they looked before she passed.
