  • Hi Folks,
    Thanks for tuning in, this video review is on the Blo Air-GT, I have been using it very frequently over the past 6 weeks and feel I have used it enough to give you folks a run down and example of it doing it's thing.
    The cars I am using it on are the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model S, the model 3 has a ceramic coating in very good condition which is 6 months old and the Model S has a polymer sealant applied 5 months ago, the protection is still present however is nearing the end of its functional life however it is still much better than an unprotected car.
    So the actual machine itself was bought from Clean Your Car, I want to add at this point I did not get this machine for free or any type of discount, who's service is truly outstanding, and has been for years. I strongly recommend you check them out if you want to buy this.
    I have wall mounted mine which was really simple, I just removed the 4 castor wheels at the bottom and bolted the base onto the wall which appears fixed to the actual body of the machine. I done this as I dry the cars at the door way area and intended on getting another hose to total the length to 16m however at the time of writing and filming I received no reply from the official BLO website if I can buy an additional hose.
    So far it has been great so keep posted for any future updates on my vlogs!
    Stay safe and take care.

    I’ve had one of these for several months now, the noise from the panel gaps was the first and only negative commented on, simple fix, ear defenders. Awesome video.

    Thanks for the demo I am considering buying one of these for my BMW E89 Z4 . As it gets very little use ,It never gets really dirty , I snow foam first ,then shampoo with an Auto glym product , ,my car is not ceramic coated , but still beads very well.this will save the aggro of towel drying , I have two other cars to clean as well. 👍

    Really comprehensive review. Been looking at this for a while and not yet pushed the button. I'm currently using a modified a 2800W pet dryer with a longer hose and added some rubber around the top to protect against any inadvertent knocks against the paint.
    Have you used a pet dryer previously and is this a big step up in terms of power or are you paying for the bells and whistles out of the box?

    • @BlackbeardsDetailing
      @BlackbeardsDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't used a pet dryer however have been using a Metrovac Vac'n'blo which has a 4hp motor and this is a huge noticeable step up bud.

    Really informative video. Just had my car ceramic coated so thinking of buying a dryer for home use when cleaning the car i.e. not a day to day. Is the single motor version dryer up to the job?

    • @BlackbeardsDetailing
      @BlackbeardsDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're car is ceramic coated absolutely, the surface will be nice and slick so water will shoot off 👍

      Hi Matthew,
      I removed the 4 coaster wheels that are secured on with a bolt and then just measured up the holes and used coach screws and concrete plugs to secure them to the wall.

    Great video! Before I buy it can you help me with whether this would be good for a large 7-series sized car being cleaned outside, that only has wax protection? Worried about water spots from the sun if it doesn’t dry it quick enough.

    • @BlackbeardsDetailing

    do you think this blower is strong enough to replace air compressor for interior dust cleaning & polishing pad air blow? 👍 thanks

    • @BlackbeardsDetailing
      @BlackbeardsDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't doubt it's powerful enough but it lacks a small precise directed airflow adapter that's more suited to this and you are unable to turn it on and off quickly like compressed air through a trigger gun.
      I'd definitely just stick with a compressor for interior dust and pad cleaning.

    How many mins did it take to blow the blue car?

    • @BlackbeardsDetailing
      @BlackbeardsDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Around 15 minutes, half that time for a freshly protected car (or freshly applied drying aid, which wasn't applied for the video comparison).
      Hope that helps,
      Ross

      @@BlackbeardsDetailing thanks for that. Prob takes longer to dry with towel. Good job.

    • @BlackbeardsDetailing
      @BlackbeardsDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bmwracing1974 I've completely removed towel drying from my work, I solely use the blow drier. When a car has been fully decontaminated and chemically stripped of all protection (like BMW Protect, GardX, Supagard) it does take much longer to dry as the water sits in sheets.
      However the ability to ensure water isn't pooling in all the crevasses that spill out during correction etc is preferred to towel drying.
      For a non pro user who's car is protected and "beads" in my opinion a blower is a must and I encourage all my customers to invest in one and haven't had a bad report yet.
      They are expensive compared to towels but the minimal marring risk is worth it 100%

    What does the filter look like and is it washable?

    • @BlackbeardsDetailing
      @BlackbeardsDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Filter is dense foam, pops out really easily and I use an air line on a compressor to blow it clean.
