Hello, this is the Japan player here, I had a ton of fun playing in this game and hope we get to play again against dankus' team, I really think we can beat them, or at least show a better game than this one. However... This was one of the worst organized and messiest tournaments I've ever seen, the rules were wack, the mod was unreliable at best and the casters/referees weren't really paying as much attention as they should've. For instance as Japan I broke 1 rule. I invaded malaya behind the mexicans/french/aussies but I didn't have my fleet on supremacy, I only had subs, which was an honest mistake that happened because of a miscommunication between me and my coop. As soon as they saw I was going to kill all their divs, they came in my chat and demanded I delete my naval invasion, seeing as I saw that it was a rulebreak, I agreed, asking if there could be other compensation as the fact I used subs for naval supremacy had absolutely 0 game impact in this scenario, nothing would've been different had I used the main fleet, since it still wouldn't' have used any fuel or gotten bombed or anything. They said rulebreak = rulebreak, so I didn't argue anymore and deleted all my invasions. After the game their USA trashtalked me a bit on discord (about my build and how I wasn't able to kill them), to which I replied that I would've killed them had there been a normal ruleset, he said rulebreak=rulebreak. That kind of triggered me and I started looking at the saves we had made during the game. Guess what, the USA was boosting the UK from the start of the game with 6 civs, I questioned him about that, quoting back what he said "rulebreak=rulebreak", he replied that he removed it as soon as he noticed, I asked when did he notice and he said that he noticed and stopped boosting a bit after the start. I loaded a save from late 38, he was still boosting UK. I messaged him this and he started mocking me for even bringing it up. Now having watched the video and seeing how even Dankus cheated, one of these exploits was a pretty major one, at around 17:50 you can see that he did a "planning invasion", something that is perfectly ok to do in a normal ruleset (just like my invasions with subs) but is banned in the tournament ruleset. GUESS WHAT, Dankus didn't have to delete his invasion or do whatever in order to compensate. In order to do planning invasions in vanilla without breaking the rules of the tournament you have to pick GBP and go to the staff and pick "Tip Of The Spear", which gives you like 0.4 daily planning, so to get full planning it will take you like half a year, even more, which makes dday happen wayyyy later. I am not coping, I just want to show people the other side, seeing as the video didn't include the things we had to endure like my naval invasions and the boosting of the uk (bear in mind these are the things I noticed from a 22 minute video and opening up 2 saves, I didn't check if the other allied minors were boosting him as well). I would love if we were able to play dankus' team under different ruleset and a better mod, I'm sure we could at least show them a better game.

Regarding naval invasion: I got told ”youre allowed to get planning for naval invasions if youre gbp” which i misunderstood. I had no intention of breaking the rule. In all fairness I would have landed on the tiles i landed on without planning because the garrisson was shit.

But anyone know the Template they use.. or if only me that see some rare things happening like 0 xp modifications on army.. and democratys goverment sending voluntairs. and some other shit that is not in Vainilla hoi4.? Im just a mediun noob player on hoi4 with desire or learning more
Set the Frontline you want, and set a battleplan simply for the planning bonus. Then assign your army to garrison somewhere they could never go to (Ecuador for example).
