If you’re new to programming but want a career in tech, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND applying to one of Springboard’s online coding bootcamps (use code ALEXLEE for $1,000 off): bit.ly/3HX970h
I have to say that I have scoured the internet for hours, and hours, and hours. As a completely inept beginner who's an extremely slow learner (slower than most), I have not been able to grasp these concepts and coding in general from anybody. I have read books, scoured articles, and have watched other TH-camrs who people keep recommending to me, and not one of them was as beginner friendly as you were. This video literally broke down what seemed to be a super over complicated concept to a 1st grade level, and I love it! I watched the video multiple times, and can now finally say that I have officially grasped the concept of if/else statements within Java. Thank you so much! I will definitely be subscribing, liking, and sharing! I will also be watching the rest of your tutorials, as I have now watched two-three and really thoroughly love your teaching method! Thank you, man! I seriously CANNOT thank you enough!
I don't know if you still check these but I'd love that podcast on basic programming terminology, terms, concepts etc. Either way, I've been using this course to help me prepair for an interview, and you've really made everything that my bootcamp professors tried to teach me so much easier to understand. You're a natural born teacher brother. Thank you for all the hard work making these videos.
New sub on board. I am completely lost in my computer science class with java. You are making it real simple and easier to understand. Which you lived in the area so I could use you as a tutor.
Man you helped me a lot to understand this! I've been studying programming for 8 months, I felt frustrated so many times and I wanted to quit although I really like this field, but because of you I wanna continue! BIG THANKS.
I wanna say thank you so much for the time and your passion to teach others. I was also struggling with my Java class and the have 3 class work due next week. I had no idea how to do it. I’m so glad I’ve saw your video now finally I understand Ty Ty Ty
It's about five months that I was struggling with java language but with your tutorials, It's very easy now and I can understand everything, you have to be a lecturer and you deserve more subscriber

Thank you so much for putting this out there!

Hey!.......I’m from India......Your channel and videos will probably help me pass the 9th grade. Oh and you just gained a subscriber, can’t wait for your podcast!!!!!
you know i was programmer 3years ago back in college. and this is the time i get back to learn agin the programming and this video helps me to understand this simple code in 7mins. damn it!
Thank You Very Much Sir, i've been very late on our lessons because i can't keep up, because i am havig difficulties learning programming by myself, but thanks to your videos i finally understand how if-else statement works with user input.
Hey Alex, I really appreciate all your lessons. They are very articulated and simplified which I liked them to always view to learn. Here is one question I got from my instructor as an exercise, if you could simplify it would be great. create nested if-statements that, once the initial color has been chosen, asks the user to choose between shades of the initial color. Example output: Would you like a RED car or a BLUE car? blue Would you like a Baby or a Royal blue color car? royal You chose a royal blue car!
I tried this with the float variables just to see if I could make it work with numbers from 0 to 10, was a bit worried about the F that is supposed to go at the end of the number. But it worked! Thank you so much for these videos, they make me want to keep learning instead of scaring me away (in fact, I'd rather experiment with Java than watch netflix lol). Thank you!
Alex i definitely think you should do the podcast because your videos alone help me a 1000%. So i support you in that and will be punctual every podcast bro

MAN THANK YOU YOU'RE THE BEST EVEN THO IT WAS ONLY THE ";" I PUT IN WRONG PLACE YOU HELPED ME A LOT I WISH YOU ALL TH BEST THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU
Your videos are very helpful there is only one thing i dont understand when it comes to if/else statements You said that the condition between brackets can only be a Boolean when we write for exemple if ( true ) { } How the system is supposed to knw what is true ??? I mean true refer to what ! How is it supposed to knw the condition what is it in the first place ? Wish you plz answer my qst and keep doing the great job ♡
Hey, it doesnt understand unless you give a condition, if you just give true, it will assume it as true and print whtever is there in the parenthesis {}

Is there a reason I should use "else if" statements instead of just "if" statements?
