Dorothea knew what she was doing back in the day when she decided to stay with him......financial stability forever. And he knew he couldn't get out of that relationship bc he'd have to pay a heavy fine to her, so he stayed with her -but having said that, it actually seems like they work v well together and meant to be united. Funny how it all happened so conveniently for each other.
