It was definitely an “oh wow” when I turned that page and saw that deer. Excellent storytelling & I love the idea of it representing Spike’s rebirth or reawakening of his spirit. Great point sir!
Spike and Beachcomber is the bromance we didn't know we needed in the Transformers canon. Spike's been through the ringer, and I hope he will eventually walk again, but I also love the possibilities that would come with Spike being in a wheelchair for the duration of the series. It's a great callback to Chip Chase from the original series, and it would keep Carly as the central "action" human figure, which DWJ has been doing a great job running with. Side note - There's been a ton of grey ethical areas in this series so far, and I'd really like to see a revisit of Beachcomber's decision not to reactivate the Autobots. In the end, his choice did nothing to prevent war coming to Earth, but I'm guessing if Jazz had a similar decision - if he was the Autobot who stumbled upon everyone deactivated - he would have reactivated all of the Autobots (including Beachcomber if he was on the Ark) without a moment's hesitation.
I love the complexity of all of the characters involved. It makes for such a wonderful & compelling read. Far beyond what I expected from the series. Truly love the addition of Beachcomber and I’m sure there are going to be some Autobots who have something to say about his choice to not reawaken any of them. Addressing that choice will make for some tense moments!

Hey Carl! This was such a great video. I really like the pages you chose, congrats! But what I like even more than the art is just how genuinely excited you were to see and talk about the art. I love to live vicariously through other collectors and see that sense of wonder on their faces as they look at and talk about the art they own,and this video provided that in spades. Just be careful though, because if I didn't know better, I and others might be excused for thinking and even assuming that you love the Transformers far more than the DoS era of Superman! 😉

The first package of Jorge art being the only thing that comes close this year. I hear the Triangle Era crew may revoke my membership in the fan club soon if I keep geeking out over these silly robots! 😂
Great additions to the collection and great breakdowns! I'm also a fan of the amount of detail that Jorge packs into his panels, and the page with Beachcomber on his surfboard really highlights that, with the details you pointed out. And I think you're spot on with Bumblebee - with him taken off the board, it really allows characters like Beachcomber and Cliffjumper to shine.
Thanks man! Sometimes it’s fun when a comic takes its time, slows things down and focuses on dialogue or subtleties. However, it’s all the more impressive when the issues move at a fast pace like TF and STILL have these wonderful character beats. It’s just all been such a treat emotionally and visually! Beachcomber swooping in with “This place reveals new beauties every moment,” man that was perfect and applies to the comic itself too. Each moment is beautiful in its own way!
Transformers Is high octane (or one could say Entergon :). You have nostaligia first off. Then you have the high empact art and action on EVERY page like 90s Image. You have the heart in the story of early 90s Valiant. Such a fun series.
Congrats by the way on the new pages. I also agree that removing certain Transformers you always see (Megatron, Bumblebee, etc) has opened up new story lines

Holding back characters like Megatron (for the most part) and Snake Eyes truly allows others the chance to be highlighted and have their characters develop. Who knew I’d be such a huge fan of Duke? He was always one of the least interesting Joe characters to me.
