My husband and I have the same hobbies as you and Steve. I am deeply and passionately into coloring, my husband is in love with photography. He will take his camera plus a selection of lenses out and come back with a hodgepodge of pictures of pets, people and scenes. While I disappear into the pages of my coloring books. We come together to show each other what we have accomplished. We typically react with I don't know how you can get into all this technique with one another. We also have pretty intense careers and the enjoyment we get from our hobbies is really essential to us. I have learned a lot from your channel and really enjoy your videos.

I think he did an amazing job too. I think you truly need to have an interest to do colored pencil drawing and coloring because it's really slow. I'd love to see him try watercolor ;-). I did the Landscape 3 and enjoyed it, even though I didn't necessarily like the color choices. I started the Labrador Retriever...so far not nearly as rewarding. They don't really do a great job of describing what they're doing. I'd love to see how you'd do with that one. I'm glad that they may have improved the lessons with the new kits.
Steve did an awesome job!!!!! I put in for the pencils, don't have much hope, in 46, going on 47 years in July, I've never won a single thing in my entire life. Not even at carnivals games, where you pay to win. So yeah, zero hope. But I went through all the steps. My luck meter is at a negative number. LOL!
Steve did a nice first time illustration. I agree with you Jennifer that patients is helpful when coloring. I sometimes lose my patients when doing color alongs because I didn't watch the entire video beforehand to see where the artist was going. So now before laying down any color I watch them. Thanks for another informative video.

A few months ago I bought one from Costco and they are 2 lessons in one box. I bought it for $9.99. I basically just bought it for the pencils. I also found one at Walmart on clearance for $5.
I bought a box today at Walmart for $22.97. I got a box called Nature. It has a flower. I would have preferred the palm tree on the beach. I don't really care because I just want to learn how to draw. At least I have a starting point. Mine came with one rough sketch. I made a copy on my printer so I don't mess up the original and can come back and try again.
Steve is a great sport, did a great job, and his love for his wife is unquestioned! I think a more accurate review would have come from a beginner who really wanted to learn.
Thanks Steve, my coloring has the streaks showing too. Never the smooth, and even. I wouldn’t watch the video that was offered. Jen is a better teacher .
