Another tip: If she's about to beat you reset the match before she does. This will ensure you don't lose your rating and will get to continue to play her. It takes a lot of practice playing against her before you'll finally win.

I have just beaten Marcia tonight 6-4. Tips: return the ball as early as possible with lots of spin. This way you get the angles. If you find yourself having to return later, slice the shot back and you'll gradually move forward toward the table again so you can return early. Do not slice when you have the chance to smash - you'll no doubt hit the net and it'll bounce out. Beware - sometimes her returns do not hit the table, but if you return them she gets the point!

What I don't like about playing her is that the computer makes more of YOUR shots go out, things that would stay in against anyone else. But it sure feels good to vanquish her!
I'd be happy to help you. The trick is to hit the ball early and twist your wrist when you hit it to create spin. This will widen the angle of your shots causing her to have to travel more ground to reach the ball. Eventually, she will fail. Hope this helps! :)
God I finally beat her!!!! I played 3 hours non stop yesterday and had 4 match points but never won, today I played another half an hour and bingo, I beat her 6-3. I have never seen any of the other players have so much luck as this little bitty.
The trick is to put top spin on the ball. You do that the same way you would a real ping pong ball, by curving your hand downward and lifting your elbow when you hit the ball (for forehand shots).

I usually set the games on 11pt games. The game moves much faster. I can pretty much beat her every time I play her now and everyone thereafter usually by hitting fairly early and going for the sides. Just move them side to side and in a couple of smashes you'll get the winning point. Look into how the technique for a forehand loop and backhand loop in real table tennis and apply it to this game. that was a sweet last shot; and i finally beat lucia today; 9-7....unfortunately i played using my dad's wii so i couldn't save it :( in any case i've discovered the only way i'll win is if i'm playing sitting down and if i use my left hand while the mi is right handed; also lucia isn't perfect; i've gotten points from her missing on the serve and seen her miss a shot that went straight towards her

does anyone notice when playing lucia, that smashes never work? you push her wide, the ball lobs up and you go to smash and then it just floats back and she destroys you. against everyone else it works fine.
Lucia is impossible. She hits everything. Anything you do she hits it right back. Every smash down you throw at her she can hit it and she goes back and forward instantly so you can't hit it off the edge. I did what he did by hitting the ball to the farther away but she hit it faster before you can even run over there.
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but it never lets me smash it when i'm in a perfect position to score it just lobs it up for her to smash it back :/

I cant hold my bat to the centre unless im virtually facing backwards to my tv. Ive tried recalibrating my controller but it does nothing. Can someone give me an answer?? Pleeaassse?

I finally beat her, but I had to purchase a new controller. She must have beaten me a hundred times though

So how do you get such speed? I can't seem to generate so much speed as you do. Are you using an attachment to the Wii remote?

You don't, your Mii will automatically move itself. You have no control over this aspect of the game.

If you curve the paddle over the top of the ball when you hit it you can put top spin on the ball and make it curve down toward the table.
