Got to say I always end up watching random videos on youtube while also listening to new bands I like like Delta Parole and that, is how I end up on this circuis video spree right now.
originally JB Arban wrote the Carnival of Venice and a set of variations which can be found in the back of his conservatory method for trumpet. You've gotta hear Wynton Marsalis play this on Bb trumpet, the clarinet version has a different set of variations by Paul Jean Jean which I think is the edition played here.
Increible..................Yo quiero llegar a tocar por lo menos como el...............como se llama y de donde es la Banda?' Alemana? Holandesa? o Vienesa??
It is called the Oehler system. There are only slight differences, such as some lever key fingerings. Also, "High C" is fingered using not just the left thumb, with the inclusion of the middle finger in the left hand.
This is probably one of the singularly most impressive displays of technical prowess I've ever witnessed. Seriously. My only complaint is the band...lol. (I'm sorry if that sounds really bad, hahaha, but they're lightyears away from matching this guy's skills)
dang i got this song but its not this vers. i have the Paul Jean Jean one, which is similar, if anyone has any idea which vers this actually is could you let me know?
Nice performance! What group is this. If it's Austrian, he's probably playing on a Hammerschmidt. If German, a Wurlitzer. That video screen behind the band is distracting, since it's about 1/2 second behind the performance.
you would know what i mean if you looked the whole video , than you'll hear that there is a sax player who makes a mistake and there is sitting an older guy 2-3seats on the left of him which makes the expression
Haha... that looks like Bill Clinton in the back on the bottom right corner around 5:17! Don't care too much for the piece, but the playing is pleasant. Nice control and even keel demeanor.
sound comes first then comes video, it's simple because when the sax player makes the mistake the guy on the left has an expression which comes after the mistake...i have the score and i see that he is really playing it same notes and fingering, otherwise nice playing xxx..
when the SAX player makes the mistake ! ! !idiot, i mean the sax player in the band ! i know it's a clarinet player , i've been playing the clarinet for over 10 years
Sajnos csak magyarul tudom leirni csodálatos tiszta technika nagyon gyönyörű hang egyszerüen fantasztikus GRATULÁLOK !!!!!!!!!
all the tonguing stuff is amazing.....well done and i love the tone of the soloist~~
this guy is really amazing!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

Schöne Wiedergabe!
Gruss aus Frankreich
I remember I did the clarinet solo for this last year. it was fun
The soloist is fantastic. I wish I could play like that. Whoever that is...
Got to say I always end up watching random videos on youtube while also listening to new bands I like like Delta Parole and that, is how I end up on this circuis video spree right now.
very nice on the clarinet:)

Increible..................Yo quiero llegar a tocar por lo menos como el...............como se llama y de donde es la Banda?' Alemana? Holandesa? o Vienesa??
I LLOVE THIS CLARINETIST ZOMIGOD LUFF LUFF *FAINtS*
really nice !
@ItsallaboutTrevor It could be a clarinet in a slightly different key, they are normally in B flat and it looks like it could be an A flat clarinet.
He is the Clarinet God.

Thanks for the explanation. These are fine/fine instruments. I love how smooth the register changes sound and how fine the 'throat tone' pitches are.
I believe he is using a Oehler Style Clarinet. They are more commonly used in Germany.
Yes, Oehler for sure...'kind of looses some of the advantages of the tone with that cheap metal ligature though.
nice job btw ;) really love it, i'm searching a band to play it with =) x
muy bien wow q bien muy bueno
This is probably one of the singularly most impressive displays of technical prowess I've ever witnessed. Seriously.
My only complaint is the band...lol. (I'm sorry if that sounds really bad, hahaha, but they're lightyears away from matching this guy's skills)
AWESOME...can you gave me the solo part???
how can i sound this good at clarinet?
Thats ME right there
@Lukozade123 Its an A clarinet, but its an Oehler style.
dang i got this song but its not this vers. i have the Paul Jean Jean one, which is similar, if anyone has any idea which vers this actually is could you let me know?
does he have his clarinet turned a little in the middle?
How would you know? What if this guy is a guest artist?
Nice performance! What group is this. If it's Austrian, he's probably playing on a Hammerschmidt. If German, a Wurlitzer.
That video screen behind the band is distracting, since it's about 1/2 second behind the performance.
dong na syap pa entrada mo a! but you a good player!
May I get the solo part for this music?
who is this band?
what type of clarient is that?
it's published by Carl Fisher -- I think this is the Jeanjean version.
Who composed this?
I thin this is a wind adaptation of Gianpieri
you would know what i mean if you looked the whole video , than you'll hear that there is a sax player who makes a mistake and there is sitting an older guy 2-3seats on the left of him which makes the expression
I bought my copy from sheetmusicplus. It is acrobatics for the clarinettist-you have been warned!
Haha... that looks like Bill Clinton in the back on the bottom right corner around 5:17!
Don't care too much for the piece, but the playing is pleasant. Nice control and even keel demeanor.
@tomibk
could i get this solo part too?
omg! supoer techniques

But this guy is really technically superior.
Please send it to me too.
Was the Bass Clarinet @ 5:40 suppose to be puffing his cheeks???
Well, I think it is a polka band after all.

If anyone has the solo sheet music to this piece, could you please send it to me please? Just post a comment on my profile. Thanks =)
6:36 the mistake of the saxplayer and at 6:39 the expression from the guy at the left ;)x
SQUEAK!!!!
Not a squeak, just murder for any clarinetist
when the SAX player makes the mistake ! ! !idiot, i mean the sax player in the band !
i know it's a clarinet player , i've been playing the clarinet for over 10 years
nice play, wished it wasn't out of synch though.
non si sente un cazzo....
