    • @tomhardy116
      @tomhardy116 7 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      I had to stop watching because he comes off as intelligent for people with a lack of information, but in reality it's just an opinion. In reality all he's done is contradict himself, he himself said that people can go without paying rent or something for these trainers and tries to somehow imply that they do anything 'good' for people lol.
      They just look cool, simple as that. Builds confidence yeah, but it's a damn shoe, if that defines a person they need to wake up a bit

    • @tomhardy116
      @tomhardy116 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I Love Your Hate - Well I wouldn't expect the man to pay for the funeral. He did not pull the trigger or even force them into a position to buy the shoes. If people are aware that they'd get killed for their trainers, then don't buy the damn trainers lol. Buy some simple Adidas; something that looks good, is fairly affordable (I remember when I got my first damn pair for like £35, we were broke but I loved em lol) and won't get you shot... There is a problem in the black community, quite a few, but seems a lot of the time a large proportion rather point the finger at someone else.

    Why is Usher keeps talking about Race Race Race, African American aren't the only ones rocking NMD's... I never even thought about it that way. This is whats wrong with the world sometimes. People find a way to bring the topic up. We are all sneaker heads and thats all that matters.

    • @Solidnave
      @Solidnave 8 ปีที่แล้ว +79

      He himself is African American, hip hop, r&b and sneaker culture started with African Americans. It sounds like he just wants to make sure his race gets credit and is doing well in America.

      that's what's wrong with America? bringing up race? sir if u think that that is the problem, ur apart of the problem. it was perfectly well placed in the conversation.

He would take an L if he was Nelly, though. that nigga got debt to pay off.

      @cic8399 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly, lol! Not to bash Nelly because I don't know the innermost workings of his personal and financial life but it's crazy how he, Usher and 50 Cent were some of the biggest artists of the 2000s (that was the era when male Urban artists competed with and sometimes, even bodied huge pop stars like Britney Spears et al) and yet two of them have had very public financial issues but Usher has not.

    This video makes me a fan of Usher the man. He seems to be very socially conscious. Black people have a significant cultural influence, but in so many cases, there is a white person who is profiting from it. This is important because a black person making this money would be more likely to pour it back into the black community and help to empower our people economically.

    I see a lot of comments about Adidas being German so it can't be American made. Of course I can't speak for Usher but I think he meant it in the sense of the companies being of a greater benefit to the communities that have integrated the brand into their own culture - more of a jobs, investments, etc. perspective. But he was smart enough to also point out the positive side of Adidas endorsing a lot of artists, or at least being more, and at an earlier period, than other brands.
