Maybe they even suspected he faked his injury for sympathy and just gave him what he needed after his brother was the focus for a while before - but how would that translate into "oh, this injury is fake - he's probably planning to murder us"?

Chandler's noose was tightening because Bart was done with excuses and was taking steps to find out what the heck was holding up his son's forward momentum out the door to independence.
Ballistic expert was so concise, knowledgable and clear. She explained everything very well and her demeanor was so professional and well put together. So far only the luminol guyleft me underwhelmed.
Once again another impeccable day of trial. This case has been handled tremendously both from the witness testimony, the defense, and prosecution. They have been so professional and this whole trial should be used as a learning tool as to how trials should be conducted. Outstanding work from everyone and I hope that this is a continued smooth process (as smooth as a murder trial can be) I am impressed.
Halderson’s attorneys have barely cross-examined the plethora of witnesses and expert witnesses parading in and out. They know their client is guilty so they’re doing the bare minimum of defense. But Halderson is too ignorant to realize his attorneys aren’t working for him.

His defense was there to basically just be counsel because legally they had to do that.. other than being present that was about all you really saw from them. I can't believe they haven't use the foot print he left (bare feet footprints I believe), they showed it when the luminol guy was interviewed (day 5 slide 13), and the other detectives, when they booked him they took a picture of his foot where the small cut was, so how come they discarded that evidence? Not that they need more evidence but I thought that was a good one.
The picture of the small hole on his toe bottom of his foot smooshed, so you couldn't get an accurate evaluation from that, but if there is a bare foot print on scene, they definitely need to see if it matches the foot. I didn't hear them mention the bare foot print myself.

It seems unbelievable that he just doesn't take a plea deal. We all know which way this is going. Does anyone believe he will get off for this horror show? Fingerprints don't lie. I am in awe of the incredible amount of professional expertise from these witnesses.
The prosecution has such a bulletproof case I can't imagine there's any plea they'd entertain. No death penalty in Wisconsin, so what would he be able to get from a plea deal? No one's looking to put parole on the table, I'm sure, so might as well gamble on a jury process with the tiniest chance of getting off than enter a plea and give up the right to appeal, etc.

He still had some "parts" of his parents, and his gun he had murdered them with. So, he stashed the "parts" and the gun on his girlfriend's mother's partners' property. A few months after he was already in jail, the gun was discovered and turned over to the police 🚓 This case is absolutely bananas!🍌🍌🍌

I was really surprised when they went to the homes across the pond to look for video evidence. Thank God they did because that was truly compelling video evidence! This has been an amazing trial and very interesting and informative!
I'm a layman when it comes to the law. But even I could of thought of a cross and a few objections on this witness and more. I think the Defense is lazy in there approach to this trial. I don't care because he's a guilty murderer. But there not doing their job very well! I'm amazed she had a cross on witness.. Finally!!!!

He could have easily grabbed a pair of Dad's shoes to distract evidence! That doesn't bother me, but defense will try to use as distraction & blaming someone else, but the evidence is very overwhelming against Chandler!

One was a homeless guy that ducked taped a lady's whole head and stabbed her n left her off the road some where ,in Florida. Another creep ,dirty,monster had the same blue shoes, he killed 2 girls 8 to ten years apart, there were body parts in his freezer and the plumbing was backed up with flesh! Do your own research but they all have the same blue pill ,I mean blue shoe. Weird??? May e not maybe so.

There was no plea deal offered. Pretty clear the prosecution didn't need one! Guilty an understatement! Life in prison! He is evil as they come!
