Lol its your fault Eric!!! I bought adding machine tape and also some triangle papers. I went through 4 tubs of scraps and I’m having a squirrel moment!! This looks like fun! Thanks! I think 😂
@mariejohns1387 😂😂😂😁🤪🤪 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️! Like I say, stitch yourself down and enjoy the wild journey....you never know where I might lead you. Thanks for watching!
Eric another great video! I am so glad you choose this block. I have 4 blocks already made that I am going to add to this project. I am going to be putting my blocks together before the end of the project as I have a need to get a quilt finished before the end of the year to give to a friend. I think the 4 blocks that I am going to add will get me almost there. I will have 1 more block to complete. Thinking about adding a scrappy 9 patch block. I will post the 4 blocks soon and then when I get all the blocks sewn together I will post it as well. Thank you so much for bringing this project to your quilt fans. I am enjoying it so much! Oh I love all types of fabric. I do like Batixs, Moda and any cool fabrics. Not a fan of a lot of flowers but I do use them.
@judysmith184 Thats the way to do it! Make it fit your needs and make it your own! Glad you are enjoying this. Have you decided how you will lay the quilt out (ie on point, or just regular grid format)? I find it interesting that many people are saying they do not care for large floral prints. I figured that it would be popular since there are so many fabrics of it. I guess I thought wrong. Thanks for sharing!
@terribishop5313 I was about to give it mouth to mouth as well!!! I do like floral prints as well, but I tend to fussy cut them down and make applique shapes of them....or if it fits, it will use it as a border print. It all just depends on the project. Thanks for sharing!
@747Kat Yes! We don't use much adding machine tape anymore since everything is on excel....so got stockpiles of it. Now I have a use for them. Thanks for sharing!
@saramcintosh2183 I am sooo jealous that you been to Bali several times! Definitely a bucket list travel destination for me. I like batiks too....but don't know what that really says about me as a creator. Thanks for sharing!
Eric, my sister got married there on an elephant in 2003. We all fell in love with the place. She bought a house there and now she goes every heat and I go every couple of years!
Ok.. I'm on it! What was that question again🤔 well let me get sidekick out to pottay! And I'll dbl back again. Like a stubborn seam, when they gotta go they can be persistent 🥴🤣
@kathleenchamp3764 LOL!!! Yes lets get sidekick out to pottay!!! I swear that seam was so stubborn I almost sat on it to get it flat. Thanks for watching!
@barbmckinlay5108 I hear you. My taste in fabrics constantly change as well. I guess it really depends on the project that I am currently working on. I guess what what says about me is that I adjust to whatever is the best option at the time. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Eric hope you had a a fun time in Houston, I love this block, will have to giv eit a try with all the scraps I have. I like solids and batiks as I hate having to match up prints.
@SewingWithLawayne we had soo much fun in Houston! Give this block a try; it is a great scrap buster! Let us know how it all comes out. Thanks for sharing!
I missed your last video but I’m wanted to chime in on what block I’d be. I’m a friendship star I know no strangers. My favorite fabric would me a marblized blender because they work with everything just like me I’ll work with anyone .
@karenbrunette6314 so I gather you are a friendly person always surrounded by people! You are my kind of people! And those are perfect choices of blocks that reflect you. Thanks for sharing!
I like all types of fabrics, maybe too much because of the hoard of fabric that I have. Solids are my least favorite but you have to have them to set off the blocks and rows.
@veraweeks8534 I guess there is a time and place to use certain kinds of fabrics. I am sort of the same way with white fabric. I don't care for white, but a lot of times white makes everything else look good so I have it on hand when I need it. I am learning to work with other colors though. Thanks for sharing!
Eric, I'm loving it! Thanks for taking the time to show the variations of the block layouts!! Honestly....I am intrigued by the bird/eagle layout...yes, it's subject to interpretation.....that's what caught my eye...lol Now tell me... where do you get your beautiful, colorful, vibrant, scraps? Are you seriously acquiring all these gorgeous colors from quilts present or past? I made over 5,000 masks...and my scraps were not as beautiful as what you are using.....tell me the secret my friend! Help a girl out here! Hugs! Beatrice
@donnahoskins8476 honestly its a combination of fabrics that were donated, purchased at various local fabric stores and scrap bags that I get from various guilds. Some are remanants from past projects. Thing about scraps is that the smaller you cut it and the more different fabrics you use, the better it all looks. Some of the fabrics started out from (what I think) were butt ugly prints! but when i trimmed and strip them down, the parts that I didn't like were tossed out or given away, and I kept the parts I did like. I hope that helps!
@dianewatson1356 it probably will help a little. I usually don't trim the center point. Everytime that I do, I tend to trim too much and the center falls apart. For me pressing open was good enough to get a pretty flat seam. Thanks for watching!

OMG 🤣 CPR on a quilt block, oh boy Ive had some of those......I love the scrappy spider. My fave fabrics are flowers probable calicos of every color.

Love this block. You are so funny. Trying to get that seem flat😅.
@lindanolan9471 I was about to give that seam mouth to mouth since the CPR wasn't working. Thanks for watching!
From a fellow bean counter…great use of adding machine tape 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@747Kat Yes! We don't use much adding machine tape anymore since everything is on excel....so got stockpiles of it. Now I have a use for them. Thanks for sharing!
I like a little of all!! A very nice mixture of all colors , big, small, solid prints and color. Hope that makes since. Love you
@mariemitchell3529 Makes total sense to me because I am exactly the same way...like a little bit of everything! Thanks for sharing!
I love batiks, large prints, and bright colours…. I am lucky enough to have been to Bali several times and get to bring batiks back with me!
@saramcintosh2183 I am sooo jealous that you been to Bali several times! Definitely a bucket list travel destination for me. I like batiks too....but don't know what that really says about me as a creator. Thanks for sharing!

@jocarmelperkins5392 😁😁😁 Thank you!
Great video Eric!
@veraweeks8534 thank you! By the way, were you at Houston? Someone said Hi to me and then just walked away...just wondering if it was you.
I'm a grunge fabric lover. Use it more than anything
@audreylynn7689 Oh I love grunge as well. I wonder what that says about me though...

I love all the blocks in your wall
@MonaDidWhat Thank you!
Hi Eric from Qaqortoq Greenland. Enjoyed the video!
@GreenlandQuilter Helle there!
My favorite fabrics change. I like batiks and would like to have more solids currently. What I hate this year I might love next year.
@barbmckinlay5108 I hear you. My taste in fabrics constantly change as well. I guess it really depends on the project that I am currently working on. I guess what what says about me is that I adjust to whatever is the best option at the time. Thanks for sharing!

Cool!
@MonaDidWhat Thank you!
Would it help to clip the center points before piecing?
