Maisey, you should be moana in the Disney movie. Perfect fit, you reflect our connection with our surroundings and the way we share our wairua. You encompass maori and are a beautiful role model
Hallöchen, If you already feel bonded now, then you're halfway there. ;-) A word of caution: NZ has many issues and isolation is a strong barrier to overcome. Visit NZ first to get a "feel" for the communities you're interested in. I would vere away from Auckland but consider smaller places like -upper North Island places or middle North Island like Whangarei, Hamilton, Gisborne, Taupo, Rotorua, Raglan, where Māoritanga is stronger. Or the South Island if you like less people and beautiful landscapes. When you come, don't be afraid to ask for help, kiwi appreciate being helpful especially someone who wants to be part of us. With Māori, it'll be a wee harder as we generally look like everyone and living in varying degrees, within the English world and the Māori world. If you can connect with Māori friends, they'll bring you into the Māori world in time. But in the meantime, YT has great te Reo language videos to get yourself into. It'll be easy for you as Reo has the same vowel sounds as Deutsch. Just softer. ;-) Nga Mihi nui und tschüßie!

I first heard this song during a meditation session in Australia. It was run by a Maori wahine and tane. It was so beautiful and perfect for what I was seeing during the session. I cried like a small child releasing all and everything I no longer needed. I always wondered what this song was called someone played it on a tiktok. It's on repeat. Arohanui ❤

Ruiamoko is the god of earthquakes. The unborn child of Papatuanuku earth mother left in her womb to keep her company from the loss of being separated from her husband Ranginui sky father when her born children separated them from their grasp so that life could begin. ;-)
DivalyCreative 75 it’s a pretty cute story about Mother Earth and just her being pregnant with ruaimoko, with valleys and rivers being stretch marks and such. Showing the true power of a mothers love
I miss home so much. Cant believe the amount of lockdowns happening here in Australia. Stopping us from returning home. This whole covid thing is ridiculous now. I really feel for those who couldn't return home to say their last goodbyes to their whānau🥺. Kia ora maisey for making me feel like I'm home.
lol! Dude, she literally is. She's talking about "Ruaumoko" (God of Earthquakes) who's one of our Gods that still lives within the womb of "Papatuanuku (MotherEarth)".
