I have an '86 Peavey Patriot and a Backstage Plus. I bought both new in 1987. The Backstage Plus has a 10 inch speaker, not a 12 inch speaker. That is one tough little amp.....I still have both and play them at home occasionally. This amp is a great bedroom practice amp. About every 2 or 3 years I give it a thorough cleaning with QD Electronic Cleaner. 37 years and never a problem with the amp or the guitar.
Thanks for the comment, @Grzz51, that's so typical of Peavey stuff to just keep on rockin' no matter how long it's been in the game! Glad you've enjoyed your gear throughout the years!
Encore 65 was my first amp. Used from 1996-2007, then I got a 6505+ and used thay until 2023. I play friedman now, but only because peavey aint the same no more.
Question: a lot of people remember the T-60, but not too many remember the 3 pickup T-26. This was my first guitar. I've only seen 2 in the past 40 years.
This is true. The T-60 was the flagship and they sold a boatload because it was so versatile, but the T-26 was a rock solid guitar too, just a more traditional pickup layout and execution. I've been on the lookout for a T-26, T-25, T-27, and T-30. It seems like the T-26 and T27 are the rarest though!
@@tannersfavoritethings24 I cut my teeth on a sunburst T26. I sold it to get an '80s Japanese '62 Custom Telecaster (Andy Summers fan). I paid $156 in 1984. I bought it on 48th Street in NY City. I often wonder if I'd like the guitar today if I played it.
