Awesome video man. Sony A6500 was the best accessory lol. Did you already get the software update for the Tamron lens? Does the Tamron lens have a dock like Sigma for updates?
Hey I just purchased a used a7iii with signa 50mm and extra batteries and other accessories for £1530, you think its a good deal ? Love your videos btw 🙂
@@TheHybridShooter thanks alot for the reply, Its in great condition with low shutter count aswell so I'm really happy, love and support to you from uk 🙌
Excellent helpful video! I love how you mentioned that 95mbs SD cards are fast enough for most people and shooting 4k... Allowing people to get 2x 128GB 95mb/s cards instead of 1x 128GB Sony 299mb/s card
Hello The Hybrid Shooter. I want to buy a tripod for my Sony A7iii. Came across your review of the Zomie tripod. I was also watching Manfrotto Befree Advanced special edition for Sony alpha cameras. If you have checked both these items, which is a better choice? Thanking you.
I have the A7III and the A6500 too. I had the A6500 then decided to go full frame when the A7III came out. I had actually gone to the store to pick up the A7II but got the A6500 which I thought was a better camera for me at the time. I also started buying full frame lens too since I knew eventually I would get a FF body and the lens worked fine on my APS-C body. I have the Zeiss 55mm, 28mm and the Tamron 28-75mm. For longer range I am waiting for a 70-300mm that I have just purchased. I was going to sell my A6500 but decided not for the reasons you had in your video. It is a real good camera and I just can’t part with it. I will put the Tamron on my A7III and the 70-300mm on my A6500. If I get another lens it will probably be a macro or a fast prime.
I am still in doubt whether to get the A7iii or the a6500. I am not a professional shooter, but I do expect a decent amount of quality from my gear. Would you say a6500 is good enough?
Good stuff. I just have one remark regarding the Manfrotto mini tripod. I had the same and it is an alright device, however, you might wanna take a look at the MOMAN mini tripod, which is made out of metal, thus much more durable and trustworthy when putting a ~4k€ set up on it. You can also screw magic arms on it or strap it to a tree or post with the included straps. It is even less expensive and you can swap the ball heads. Highly recommend it.
Thanks! Do you feel like they are similar in quality though? I know there's been a lot of debate about this and I have no idea what the answer is. I'd really appreciate your opinion on this.
I was watching your TH-cam channel For Sony FE 28mm F/2 and I have to thank you for it. I planning to buy A7R III and 28mm F/2 but I checked on Sony website the compatible lenses for A7R III and I found 28mm in not fully compatible The website mentioned : The [Lens Comp.: Distortion] setting will be set to "Auto". I can’t understand it what and how it might affect my shooting. will you please explain it for me .
One question, I thought the a7m3 can shoot in cropped mode as well. Wouldn’t it be easier to change to that mode, instead of traveling with two bodies?
Can't get why you kept the a6500. The a7 III also works in crop mode, so you already have the extra reach. The only reason to keep it would be having a second camera for B roll or something
Great Video! But I needed to watch it in 1,25x speed😂🤘🏼 you're talking veeery slow ( please do not feel confronted), maybe you should try talking a tiny bit faster 🤔 just my opinion, but I think it is too slow for a lot of people
Sony A7III has an APC-mode, so you can get almost the same result. But! A6500 has a digital zoom (4k pixel-to-pixel instead of 6k downsampling to 4k) without quality loose.
No, the results in crop mode are very different even in video and 10 mpix is not enough for stills. You will loose down-sampling rate, so with both APS-C mode on A7III and Clearimage zoom on A6500 you will loose quality.
That is true, but I also want to provide content in Slovak language for those who don't understand English and to reach more viewers from Slovakia and Czech republic.

Which lens do you think is sharper: the Sony 28mm f2 or the Samyang 24mm f2.8?
Neither is particularly sharp to be honest.

Thank you, unless you need faster buffer clearing, UHS-I cards are more than sufficient.
Great video man, one question: regarding that A6500/6300 for extended reach.... why not just use the APS-C mode on the a7iii?
Thank you, you loose a lot of resolution or video quality when you use APS-C mode on A7 III.
Can you do a video/photo quality comparison video between a7iii in APS-C mode and on a A6500?
I don't use A6500 anyone, so I unfortunately can't.
CarpIXOYE so simple.. a7iii in Super35mm = 10Mpx and a6500/6300 is all the time 24Mpx ;)
@@P22_Do0C for video that is a good thing tho

Why do you recommend the samyang 35mm f2.8 lens instead of the sony 35mm f2.8?
Mostly because of the price.
Thanks! Do you feel like they are similar in quality though? I know there's been a lot of debate about this and I have no idea what the answer is. I'd really appreciate your opinion on this.

It probably means that you have to use in-camera distortion correction which is what I recommend to do anyway. You can still turn it off in Lightroom.
if I do so the corrected file still in raw format? @@TheHybridShooter
No, you can still turn that on / off in post.
Thanks for your help@@TheHybridShooter

One question, I thought the a7m3 can shoot in cropped mode as well. Wouldn’t it be easier to change to that mode, instead of traveling with two bodies?
No, using crop mode on A7III significantly decreases image quality, it is a waste of sensor potential.
Yea it does have the 'super 35' mode but you end up with a 10mp image.
I tried it out, and for a couple of snapshots it’s very usable if you need a little more reach. 10MP is still very respectable.
@@movakalin5333 yea it's definitely handy. For that reason though i went with the a7riii, the cropped mode gives you more detail.
Thanks for your recommendations, very helpful

Getting my a7iii today, can I use 95mb sd cards? For 4k

Samyang 24mm 2.8 vs Sony 28mm f2??
Depends on which field of view you like more. For me 28mm is more universal.
Great Video! I hope to buy the A7III and the Tamron 28-75mm soon. If anyone is looking to purchase a GH5 and a 12-35mm f2.8 let me know!
Thank you!
Good channel! Appreciate all the good info !
Thank you!
Do you have the link for the Tamron update?
It is available on Tamron website.
Dont bother with the 70mm zoom Zeiss, its about the same sharpness as the kit lens.
Wow. Didn't know you are from Bratislava. I love this city. Have a heart for it. I kept looking at the Hrad picture.

The only reason to keep it would be having a second camera for B roll or something
No, you don't have the extra reach, that is just digitally cropped. A6500 gives you 24 megapixels with extra reach.
The Hybrid Shooter i thought you're referring to video. Didn't thought about photography. Makes sense now.
Even in video, there is a big difference between full frame 6K down-sampled video and super 35 mode.

Great Video! But I needed to watch it in 1,25x speed😂🤘🏼 you're talking veeery slow ( please do not feel confronted), maybe you should try talking a tiny bit faster 🤔 just my opinion, but I think it is too slow for a lot of people
With the 28mm in crop mode you'd get 42mm on the A73.
That is just digital crop with 10 megapixels.
Why not getting A7RII? You can have full frame and a quality 28MP crop in a single camera
You will loose down-sampling rate, so with both APS-C mode on A7III and Clearimage zoom on A6500 you will loose quality.
what do you mean by that
What are the 10 accessories? I count 29 ;-)
It's more like 10 categories of accessories.
You can put the a7iii on a crop censor mode at the touch of a button so no need to buy a whole extra camera to do that job.
Not really, the image quality in APS-C mode isn’t particularly good on A7 III

By running relatively successful business.
