Thank you. There's too many suggestions of his newer music but it's the old stuff that brings out his brilliance. I think Dead Presidents III and Never Been are the only ones I would add to those 3.
It's great to not be surprised by his racial identity/background, but by his own account, it is something he received a lot of hate for in his life. His own mother would yell slurs at her biracial children. Of course other kids around him were a nightmare as well, and everyone made him feel like he had no place anywhere. The core message of this track is basically meant to show that he lives in defiance of the life he grew up with.
His Father was Black and his mother was white. His mom was out of the picture when she became a heavy Alcoholic. People Bash him because of his skin when he supports equality and especially Blacks. His lyrics speak volume.
@@paxton_pomykal Judging by culture he has had like the most stereotypically black childhood you could imagine. Fatherless, drug dealing brothers, gangs, gun crime etc lol. You’re mad racist if you’re assuming anything abt him.
If you're looking for Logic songs with bars and messages you should check out Under Pressure, Dead Presidents III, and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
So happy you are going through Logics collection. Went to high school with him and he was always a humble dude. He went through a lot of bad stuff growing up and talks about it in a lot of his songs.
One of the things I love about logic is he doesn't put himself in a box he will make all different types of music in all genres. Please do more of him I really don't care what I am here for it all. Much love
There is the Miles Morales Spiderman who has a Black American father and a Puerto Rican mother. A bit of trivia: before Simu Liu landed the role of Jung in Kim's Convenience he made money dressing as Spiderman for birthday parties. He couldn't do any of the other super heroes because he was not White. Simu Liu later landed the lead role in Shang Chi.
This comment fully reminded me of when Stan Lee said, "Any kid could imagine he's spiderman, because no colour of the skin shows. He could black under that, he could be red, he could be yellow, he could belong to any race. And that wasn't done purposely, it was done accidentally, and I think that's the best thing we did: making him so he could be anybody under that costume."
I hear you man. I'm born and raised in Hawaii and here people are from all over. I'm also "mixed race" and the whole concept seems very archaic in the grand scheme of things. We're all just part of the human race at the end of the day.
I've been loving the Logic reactions! For bars look into (Mixtapes - Dead Presidents III, Roll Call, Walk on By) Albums - Under Pressure (Long Version), Young Jesus, Everybody Dies, Warm it up, 44 Bars. So many great songs by him. Another good one is ISIS by Joyner Lucas & Logic
"He looks like my son" Dude, you're real. You're honest. You're an inspiration. Stay true to yourself. You'll get as far as you wish to with that attitude and heart. Thank you for the genuine content.
To understand this song you have to know that the Everybody album was an album highlighting a lot of the problems he saw in society. This song was tackling racism and inclusion. It's personal to him because of his rough background living in an abusive household in the bad part of Maryland. I beg you to listen to some of his older music to understand why this album was so important to him. I didn't love this album, but any Logic fan knows what this album meant to him personally and you'll understand it more through his older music. Under Pressure (the full version) gives you a glimpse of his story told through the perspective of his family members and is in my opinion his greatest song ever. It's less about his whole childhood and more about the pressure he felt not being there for his family while making his first album but it still gives you a glimpse while also getting to listen to an absolutely brilliant song. Above any other logic song Under Pressure is the most unique and creative song he has ever made. It's just fantastic.
Logic doesn't have a drinking problem, but his mother had a major problem with drinking and it absolutely destroyed their relationship. The boy didn't drink until he was 25 because he didn't trust himself after seeing what drinking did to his mother and her relationship.
You gotta listen to his more lyrical stuff. Anything from his YS mixtapes or Under Pressure/TiTS. Also in the past Logic has struggled with identity issues and addiction because of his upbringing. He really goes in depth on his childhood on the album Under Pressure and its title track.
I feel like he is underrated and that the push back was mostly talking all the time of his mixed race but he is telling his truth. Especially when he started balding and people calling him old.
Since you reacting to Logic, gotta listen to Joyner Lucas ft. Logic ISIS Goes hard. He also has a song with Eminem called Homicide. Have you tilting your seat back.

"If someone doesn t like who you are for who you are is their opinion relevant?" True but at the same time it seems hard to realise that when the home you grew up hates you so much which seems to have been his case. He does mention it here and there in some of his tracks.
i'm shocked at the lack of reactions to Sunday Candy by Chance the Rapper (Donnie Trumpet Experience). It's amazing and i assume everyone has heard it already
Logic has been subject to a lot of criticism based on his perspective and presentation of his race....but none of that takes away from his lyricism or his beat selection...under pressure is a must react. And confessions of a dangerous mind is a nice summation of how critics view him and how he feels about it.
He may have a different physique but the skin tone and the hair is almost exactly the same as my friend lamarcus well we were friends and enemies and friends and enemies and friends and frenemies. But yeah he looks pretty much exactly like that guy's skin tone and hair wise and terminology both of his parents were black black. Apparently he had a white ancestor at some point or another is what they said.
Also much like yourself you may see one huge box we call black (even though is a brown usually) and you are of a Latino decent. The majority of people are a little mixed somewhere along the line. (Also I never got why we call cream people white... It's more of a cream color to me and I am 100% sure other than people's hair that I have never seen a white person and if I did I would help them to a hospital without touching them.)
React to fire in the booth Unknown P (comedian) React to futuristic and devvon Terrell - f*ck yourself (cover of Justin Bieber love yourself) React to logic - under pressure (full version)
Personally I think this wis what he thought thought his life before he reached the point of making this video. I do believe he has grown although growing up in the world he did and if his parents did not love him then that could easily feel life your life is wrong. My mother told me at 4yo she tried to let me drown in her parents pool and only because I swam did she let me live.
Personally I don't care about color whatsoever the only time it's an issue is whenever one is over represented for decades in Media. Or if One race is represented in a bad light statistically more often than any other race in media even though crimes are not committed at that rate among that group.
Miles Morales he is a black Spider-Man he's been around for a while recently got his first movie and first video game spider-man into the spider-verse and if you type in to Google Miles Morales Spider-Man video game you'll find it I'm not sure exactly where I've seen some of the clips but haven't actually been able to get the system to play it on
Logic is constantly trashed by The hiphop community. The be saying hes a trash kendrick knock-off and how he always talks about being biracial. Most of it is prolly banter but some of it is legitimate hate.

Black Spiderman is a reference to when they were rebooting Spiderman, again, there was a huge push to get Donald Glover to play the role.
He does voice Miles in the animated series at least
