Welcome to "Tales from Tuscany"!
We are Marisa and David, Australian expats now living part-time in Chianni Tuscany.
During the Global Pandemic, we decided to buy our Italian dream home, sight unseen and with no prior knowledge of the area.
This is our journey and we are taking you along with us!
TODAY'S VLOG...
This week, I take you on a lovely summer discovery tour around Chianni ...under the Tuscan sun finally!!! My lovely new friend Carolyn and I get to check out the Chianni municipal pool, which is quite a delight and we take in all the beautiful nature that surrounds our wonderful village, Chianni.
I also head off to one of my favourite place, Vicopisano Antiques Market, for a tiny bit of retail therapy and some lovely time with our good friends, Marie and Lorenzo from Casa Colomba and Eoin & Niahm from Volterra!
I also come home with a very special gift for my darling David, who happens to be arriving here with me TODAY...as I load this video ...YAY!!!

Look what we have now-the greenest carpet covering the Tuscan field-after all the rain has passed. We appreciate Marissa taking us on a trip and showing us how green Toscana is. I wish I were there, to touch the natural beauty and to smell the fresh plant scents while sitting on the edge of the chapel. It is lovely also to have plans to someday climb the nearby hills, and on the top I will shout "Thank you for your lovely creatures, well done my LORD"

Wow, the Vicopisano market is huge! It's probably best we are going to miss it on this trip since we fly carry-on only. No room for all the great buys I would want to bring home.

We were at the Vicopisano fair for business that same morning and it was far too hot for this Scot in Italy.
