Loved all the top down co-op shooters of this time what great fun
Really good video🙏🏻. Brings back some nostalgic memories and feelings 🥇
Wicked video
So glad I got this video on my recommends, excellent work.
This was a great story. I had the same kind of gaming relationship with my Uncle.
That's awesome! Did you have a specific important game that you played?
Great video, I really liked the personal story around it. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful game. One which I had on the Amiga as a kid. That was a great version too. Not as good as the Megadrive version, but still got it right where it mattered. Loved playing it in the arcades too. Like with many games, my exposure was in the arcades as I live by the sea. Still do, but the arcades are not like they used to be. Great video. 😊
Thanks for your comment! There were no arcades where I grew up. My only experience with an arcade machine was stumbling across a Turtles one in a waterside café when I was around 5. As for Mercs, I only played the actual arcade version for the first time for the making of this video. Great in its own right, but the Mega Drive was the one I grew up with, so will always be MY Mercs.
I always loved going to seaside arcades. Getting to play one of the latest cabinets then bragging about it in school as if I'd been on some magical journey to a far away land. 😂
I remember being pretty good at this game in the arcade. For one quarter you got 3 hits, which basically worked like your lives. But there was one section where an enemy cannon would knock all three hit points out in a single shot. It was essentially like losing an entire quarter with one hit. I could make it to that point on just about 75 cents, but that enemy cost over a dollar to get past!
I used to be like this but for Point Blank. The one bullet one leaf game was stressful knowing it could be my last go.
A video with both a really heartwarming personal story and fun walk-through of the game! As someone whose own parents weren't that interested in games I suppoae I'm lucky I had an older brother I could go to for a co-op partner, even if he wasn't always interested in playing along or wanted me to play sports games... I too wasn't very interested in that, whether it was digital or physical sports.
I wonder if this video got reccommended go me because of watching the new Nintendo Switch Online release, since they just put Mercs Mega Drive-versiom up on their Mega Drive emulator... but if that's the case, I hope other people also find their way to this video and your channel.
The story around it really does make it.
Didnt know this was on sega
