Yeah, yeah, I understand, and it would be sad to hate a song or a band for a lie, that's why I answered about that (I'm not one of their fans, -at all-, I simply don't like seing someone about to be hated for a wrong reason!)
And Because the Album is achieved from trips of Nicola Sirkis the singer of Indochine, he went to different country to find the inspiration (I'm French sorry if my english is bad)
Most honestly, that was a complete lie... provocation maybe. No word about the Queen or such here, Belfast itself isn't named (search the songs lyrics in Google and try an automatic translation for example). It seems to be about hoping for a reunion, the name "Ariel" is repeated but I don't know what the relation with Belfast could be... I guess future interviews could tell (+ knowing Nicolas, it could be related to literature somehow).
Ariel is the most famous poetry book by Sylvia Plath, and you can hear a recording of her voice (from 1962) reading the title poem during the intro of the song. However, she was from Boston, studied in Cambridge, lived in the Devonshire in England and died in London... 🤔
Très bel hommage à l'écrivain Sylvia Plath et à son recueil de poèsies intitulé "Ariel". Merci Indochine

Sylvia Plath ♥️♥️♥️
is a city
Pourquoi la chanson s'appelle Belfast ?
And Because the Album is achieved from trips of Nicola Sirkis the singer of Indochine, he went to different country to find the inspiration (I'm French sorry if my english is bad)
If you want ! :)
No, the sing is just about the wrong side and the good side of Belfast, don't worry :) as the Album is named "Black City Parade" :)
