Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 | MDA009 visits Australia | TBM850 🛩️

Tonight we fly a real world road trip once undertaken by one of our community members MDA009. A trip that culminated in many firsts. First time travelling through the Aussie outback, first time racing an EMU, a Kangaroo and many other wild things that were giving chase and unfortunately a first run in with the Aussie rozza's resulting in a gift from South Australian state.
We begin our journey at the beginning of the old Ghan railway that operated from Marree in South Australia to Alice Springs in the Northern Territory ceasing operation in 1980 before moving to a new line close to Stuart Highway. Our flight takes us along the Oodnadatta Track, a 614km dirt road that connects Marree to Marla before rejoining the main bitumen of Stuart Highway.
Our first POI of the flight will take us east of William Creek (YWMC) to visit the famous Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre (LEYN) one of the largest salt lakes, in the world.
From Lake Eyre we turn to the north-west toward our first stop. The indigenous community of Oodnadatta (YOOD) were we can grab a quick snack the famous Pink Roadhouse.
We then leave Oodnadatta for the longest leg our trip leaving South Australia behind and entering into the Northern Territory home of the main attraction of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Olgas and the tourist resort of Yulara before arriving at our final stop of Ayer Rock Connellan Airport (YAYE).
