Try to find the Boult. It's old but seeing it's much closer to when it was written and WOII, it has a very authentic feeling to it. It's the oldest recording. The recording quality goes downhill once the choirs come in on the Brabbins. It's badly mastered. Hopefully SACD rerelease one day, it can be salvaged. Lenard is quite good but still prefer the orchestral quality of Brabbins. It also has a buzz in the final movement. The Boult is 60's recording and not very good. But good enough that it is sometimes better than the other recordings. It's a difficult piece to make work on speakers as well imo. I've heard it on different speakers and really big B&W's with tamed highs seem to do a great job.
Coinneach, I’m you’re biggest fan! I think what you do is amazing! Tell me, have you seen Barbie yet?

I’ve heard that recording - interesting as a piece of history, but quite badly played to be honest.
