(assuming you had the dvd disk in) first try another dvd disk (if you have) to make sure disk works or try the disk in a home DVD player to check for errors. If the disk is not damaged then the player itself may need to be replaced.

Another way I've read about is the laser gets dirty so cleaning the laser fixes it.

This was super helpful. But I verified and took the disk out and back in. And even reset the system by removing battery terminals to clear the car. But still says no disk. When I start the car it tries to read it. But keeps coming backup. Disk is in perfect condition. What to do now?

Just an off-topic question. Doesn't power liftgate activate automatically in 2009 Honda Odyssey EXL if we open trunk manually from outside? My Van's Power liftgate works perfectly if open/close using button from inside by steering wheel and with remote. If I open manually from outside by pressing the latch it doesn't work. I have to pull the trunk about a foot before it starts opening by itself.

Make sure the DVD disk is in, has no scratches or damage, and also that tiny rubber tab on the face plate is not missing (watch 2:06 minutes into the video for that tab). Please share and subscribe.

Wise Monkey I didn’t had any dvd disk in before, and it was working. Ever since I took it to the dealer due to recall air bag. I got this message, they are telling me that they didn’t do anything. Just reset and give the navigation passcode. After that I got this message even after I set up the code by hands free link.
