My son found this on youtube and guess who got to make it, lol.
It turned out pretty good, it was a little fast in places and I had to pause a lot and replay. I also think it would have turned out better with the proper origami paper.
Son said it was brilliant, so there we go, it is currently flying around the room. Now with eyes on.
Thank you very much for your model video.
    :-)

It seems like some people are finding it too hard to make. I made a slower version of this tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/mc2p4QuORbU/w-d-xo.html

At least he said "fold this point to that point" before he sped up the vid...i still can understand the steps on how to make it :)

This is an outstanding model. It amazes me how you come about creating it, esp. how you figure out ahead what is to become of the sink-folds, etc. to make up the features of the animal.
The speed is a bit fast only for the kinky parts, but the instruction is excellent. This complex model can easily takes up to 30 minutes by other artists. What can make it hard to follow is because the kinky parts need to be shown a few times at various angles. If this step is skipped, then difficulty may follow, not of the folding but of the confusing new geometry to the learner at a fast glance.
Thank you again for the great work. And let people make suggestion in appreciation but not criticism so there will be future enchantment for enjoyment to all.

Very nice tutorial. this is the first "dinosaur" origami that i try ( i am a beginner with non-modular origami) and i found it very nice. Great tutorial, it mage me arrive till the end of the model so it does work. If I can just add a little criticism, both pteranodon and pterodactyl had basically no tail: there was instead a membrane called uropatagium between their legs that were not separated: therefore a more accurate model would try to hide the tail somehow and connect the legs. Anyways, this is not a course in paleontology but an origami tutorial, so, good work Mr Mori!

I was wondering the same thing about why they call it kami paper when kami literally means paper in Japanese. I imagine it's because it's the most common type of origami paper and it's mostly made in Japan. If it were primarily made in South America, it might have been called "papel" instead of kami!

    Re: COMPLAINTS
Anyone that complains about Mr. Mori's Origami Instruction Videos is not only rude but way off base. His videos are basically perfect. The speed of the videos is just right, the sequence of steps logical.
There is nothing wrong with the way he teaches us Origami. I pretty much use his instructions exclusively. He has the coolest items that I thoroughly enjoy making and showing off to everyone.
P.S. There is such a thing called the 'PAUSE' key!

I love your videos and they are perfect imo. If I need to watch something again I just push the button that has two parallel lines that sort of looks like an 11. I know that might be a huge challenge for some but with practice you too can master the pause button.

This seems as some advanced origami level. There is plenty of material out there to help you understand basic and advanced folding techniques and forms that this video takes for granted in the sped up parts. Origami is an art, so a word to frustrated starters: as in plain painting you don't expect to grab a brush and work miracles or blame your instructor for your own failures,I suggest you muster your patience and do your own homework before taking out your frustration on a user only sharing his passion.

  • @bydaniiel10

nice one, can i suggest something, can you place somewhere the dimension of the paper and the type of paper, maybe in the description or in the video.

There's a Japanese Tee Shop near where I live that has an origami workshop every Tuesday, and they usually divide us in 2 groups: beginners and advanced, because we work at different speeds. I'm thinking that's the problem here. So people; give the guy a break about the speed of the video... he's doing his best.

Tadashi Mori, this tutorial is great, but if you do a remake, I could be able to make it.
The reason why people dont like pausing and replaying is because they get confused and they accidentley unfold and mess up the model, ending the origami in atrash can.
So if youd make a remake, I would greatley appreciate that
