The court literally found the women's team was being paid more than the men. Why is ESPN giving them an award?

Didn’t they chose a different CBA because their needs/wants were different? Didn’t they end up making more than the men? Didn’t a judge throw their case out of court because they wanted a different CBA than the men’s team? Ironically, I read all that on the ESPN app, wasn’t as easy to find as a few big mouths they chose to highlight instead……

They are fighting racism, and for mens rights to physically abuse women, oh.... and equal pay. Let's see how much the female player makes compared to a male player.... and I don't mean final figure. I mean what percentage each player makes compared to what their respective leagues makes.... I think you'll find the men need a raise.

As far as his tennis greatness, Arthur Ashe was the only African American man to win Wimbledon and the U.S. and Australian Opens.
He died on February 6, 1993, due AIDS-related pneumonia. He was infected with the virus prior to or during 1983 from a blood transfusion during one of his multiple bypass surgeries correcting familial genetically linked coronary artery disease.
As a result of his own battles, he developed the Arthur Ashe Foundation for the Defeat of AIDS. He also created inner city tennis and AIDS prevention programs. On the international front he lobbied against the apartheid government of South Africa, using his position in tennis. He did not play tennis in South Africa after the Soweto uprising of 1976.

Am I missing something? Why all the hate. These women have brought home 4 world cups for the USA, all while being paid significantly less. Some will argue that the mens team brings in more than the womens, which is why they should get paid more. However, "specifically, from 2016-18, the women’s team brought in $50.8 million in revenue, while the men’s team brought in $49.9 million."

    Wow. What a scam.
Not only were they paid more cash, they received much more in the way of benefits!
How are they fighting discrimination by asking to change the terms of a contract they wanted??
The women's team wanted the guarantied money + benefits and got it. The men's team took a chance and opted for the riskier contract.
The women's team could have done the same, but did not.
The WNT got a better deal...then when they did the math 5 years later, they saw that they would have made more cash if they had taken the riskier deal.
Now, they are heroes because, in retrospect, they chose wrong and want their deal PLUS the men's deal?!
This is a prime example of wanting your cake and eating it, too.
