Old Windows… nice and clean without bloatware 😢❤
Windows 7 having multiple logon and logoff sounds makes it the best version of Windows
I've preferred the default.
reminder that vista had that to
Very interesting!
So much has changed over the years...
It's eerie with no music though
It's a bit peaceful for me
couple things i noticed
1:41 - Windows 2000. ME. Neptune and Windows Whistler fails to play the log off sound
2:29 - you did not install the display drivers.
9:11 - you didn't cut the part where windows crashes and fails to boot
11:19 - Windows 2000 Server and under is missing.
15:00 - This is an old version of mac. the latest version as of writing this comment is Mac OS 14 Sonoma
15:18 - this is an old version of arch linux. the latest version will do the same thing
15:32 - ubuntu 4.10 is missing
21:45 - old versions of kde is missing
24:16 - it played the log off sound but not the log in sound?
Windows Server 2025 also Missing.
It will come out.@@inzaghiposumaalkahfi9650
it's just windows 11 but for server
2000 and ME log off sound is not enabled by default.
@@watchnetworks oh thanks for letting me know
Wow!! Nice compilation!
Good video. What about making video which show how Logon Screens from different systems look like with different quantities of users shown? It would be interesting to see which number of users will cause appearing of scrolling or something similar.
OSes in 3500BC:
There are no log on and log off sounds
Keep it up❤
9:01 bro crashed
0:50 This sounds as creepy as the THX Logo sound and also quite unnecessarily long.
Should have enabled Windows Audio service in Windows Server versions.
not the BSOD at 9:01 :sob: :folded_hands: (typing emojis on linux is different than windows)
When you run out of ideas:
1.02 nah Windows NT 4.0 is Crazy the sound
If you want the timestamp to be clickable then you need to use a colon rather than a dot.
why doesn't windows xp play the actual logoff/logon sounds? why is it playing the startup/shutdown sound?
The actual logoff/logon sounds are played when switching users.
@@World_of_OSes ahh, now i get it. thxx
@@World_of_OSesBut don't play when Fast Switching is disabled. However in some rare cases they will still play.
I start the video and the first there is no sound
Windows XP Gold’s desktop looks like it is made of copper 😂
13:44 Why there's no Windows Server 2025 (Windows Server with Windows 11 GUI)?
True why
Hasn't been released yet
unreleased. also it's literally just windows 11 lol
I like windows vista sounds and I kept cause errors to make noise
18:44 so creepy man
9:13: 💀
7:00 You're not using the Windows Default sound scheme
Are you sure those sounds aren't default for that build?
You clearly have not used that build of Win8.
@@weegeenumberone2 The compile shown in this video is 8056.0.fbl_grfx_dev1.110727-1728. Tried both x86 and x64 and select the "Windows" theme in the Aero Themes section, and both the Windows Logon and Windows Logoff events are set to use the ones in the C:\Windows\Media, not C:\Windows\Media\Cityscape. The ISOs are both downloaded from Bob Pony.
@@World_of_OSes Switch to the "Windows" theme in the Aero Themes section. You can also create a local account named "con" to test it (since "con" is a reserved name in Windows and thus C:\Users\con can't be created).
r u from romania?

Nu, este din Noua Zeelandă.
Why not windows 3.1?
Windows 3.1 doesn't have user accounts. I suppose I could have exited Windows to DOS, and then started Windows again, but that doesn't really count as "logging off and on".
Yeah i agree @@World_of_OSes
4:31 Hey, wait, how come it's like this?
The development of Windows Longhorn reset
Why you dont have windows 3.0
Early Windows versions didn't have a login system
@@phonl1 i mean to all he doesnt a have windows 3 vm and i have it
9:05 what happened???
That build does that sometimes when I shutdown, logoff, or end explorer, it also sometimes comes up with an explorer error.
th-cam.com/video/2NnhICYUPDw/w-d-xo.html
@@World_of_OSes damn what an hilarious bug i see
Windows xp log off and log on sounds are not correct ?!
Windows XP did have separate logon/logoff sounds from startup/shutdown, but only plays when switching user.
@@ThatRandomToast i forgot, i didnt use windows xp for long time
If I didn't have to use windows due to school related things, I would definitely use MX Linux or Sparky Linux, I'm not interested in Ubuntu since it deviates too far from apt and debain Linux as a whole.
the windows nt 4.0 sound sent me to a different dimension 🫨
holy smokes, how did your pc handle all that OS? that's crazy
4 TB storage space
Virtual machine
shh... let's not leak our hard work
that part tho 9:06
hi!
Quick answer: you get logged out
Also WHERE IS THE MUSIC
*Logs off*
*Bluescreens*
Lol
In suprised you know long horn that shit is forgotten that shit yeah dont same for vista
