Here we have an exceptional example of the condition that makes you miss all of your shots. This condition is commonly referred as "The Antagonist" syndrome
Quentin Tarantino has a wonderful way with film. I'll never forget sitting in Inglourious Basterds' theatre in 2009 and watching everyone cheer as Hitler and his lot get brutally gunned down in Shosanna's cinema, with Hitler himself taking multiple 9mm's to the face, and Tarantino showing every consecutive shot interspersed with Donnie and Ulmer's maniacal laughter- when just moments before they were practically booing at the exact same image from the perspective of a 1940's German (the movie Hitler and co were watching in the movie was of a German sniper taking out Ally after Ally, with the audience in the movie cheering loudly at the scenes). It struck me as ironic. Of course we can say with relative ease that one ideology is evil and another pure, but we kid ourselves by simplifying it to that point. In reality, people are tribal- and we love watching "our" tribe mercilessly destroy the "other" one- reverse the situation, and all of a sudden it's reprehensible. He does it again here, with Django: Unchained. It triggers a feeling of righteous justice in us, when the 'bad guys' get brutally murdered in a show of satirical violence, when that is precisely the opposite of true justice in a judiciary sense. "Every man deserves his day in court" and all that. In a way, Tarantino brings out the worst in us, and we applaud it all the way. Nadine Hussein from Inquiries Journal says it beautifully: _"Tarantino directly challenges the glorification of heroism and cultural superiority embedded in the American collective memory of WWII by replicating the susceptibility of the spectator to the effects of fascism and propaganda in film."_ (On Inglourious Basterds). He is holding up a satirical, violent mirror to society; he is showing us that we are no better than our enemies, and brilliantly, most of us don't even realize it- further proving his point.
man cultures are so different then, I'm german myself and I've never witnessed people cheering, booing or anything remotely similar collectively in a movie (not talking about any topic specifically) yes there will be laughing and shocked frowns etc. but cheering or booing a movie screen? that's kind of odd around here on the topic I must say I've never quite looked at it like that, it's an interesting view I liked how tarantino displayed that not all germans were just evil nazis as an easy "they're just the baddies" trope, but also just simple soldiers
@@brohvakiindova4452 it's not necessarily that everyone is always loudly booing or cheering, but a combination of things. You get an idea for how a cinema experiences a movie. For instance cheers aren't necessarily "yay woo-hoo" but laughter and generally, approval. You can also get an idea after you walk out, hearing what people are saying. But in Inglourious it was almost forced how obvious it was that the cinema approved. It was a super tense movie and with it finally getting the good ending people wanted I guess they released that tension uproariously.

man cultures are so different then, I'm german myself and I've never witnessed people cheering, booing or anything remotely similar collectively in a movie (not talking about any topic specifically) yes there will be laughing and shocked frowns etc. but cheering or booing a movie screen? that's kind of odd around here
on the topic I must say I've never quite looked at it like that, it's an interesting view
I liked how tarantino displayed that not all germans were just evil nazis as an easy "they're just the baddies" trope, but also just simple soldiers
This is the best edit with this soundtrack!! Masterpiece!

Brutal
It's funny how when he shoots the bullets penetrates and hits mutliple targets, but yet he can use people as human body shields without getting hit
Red dead 3 looks great!
I love the timing of the music and Django's first shot
