The game has improved. All you can ask for. 2k fan boys will hate no matter what. NBA Live improving will only make 2k improve their flaws, and there is a lot of them.

Live fans hate no matter what. Live fans always say that 2k sucks compared to live. Even Sean o Brian said the game will not be as good as 2k. I played live 14 and 2k14. 2k14 was way better and not just graphically. 2k had a lot of cheese that made me frustrated but not as bad as live 14 being basically unplayable. 2k15 improved a lot. Live 15 is another let down.

I've been a 2K dude since the Dreamcast days but I'll always be a NBA Live dude at heart...I can honestly say this looks a hell of a lot better than last years and it's good to see that they're movin' in the right direction, hopefully within the next 2-3 years they can get back to Live that us OG gamers all knew and loved
I gotta give props to EA for improvements that they have made. I am pleasantly surprised by what I see so far. It's not gonna be on 2K level as of yet but not as far away as I thought it would be.

Game pacing seems good and realistic.
Cons:
Player intro is wack, why only show one player getting announced? FAIL!!!
Lack of animations, especially in the post.
Shot success seems too high @ times. Too many players draining random hooks & 3's.
Commentary could use some work. Not terrible but has some dead spots.

This game doesnt even look like real basketball. Player models looks stiff and lifeless. There is some small gameplay improvements tho. So for EA, all u can say is they are taking things a step at a time. Still no match for 2K and as long as 2K has no competition, they will keep pushing the same gameplay until EA learns to walk and chew gum at the same time.

It doesn't even take a rocket scientist to see that Live does not not match up to 2K, it'll probably take a while for Live to be mentioned in the same sentence as 2K. Now I actually want Live to be back to where it was, back to how Live 10 came out to be. Because that was probably the only year that Live beat 2K. Yes I said it, 2K10 had tons of problems. It may have looked better than Live but it didn't play as authentic as Live did.

The player faces look so much better in this than 2k. Also the animations are 10x better. I love NBA 2k15 but I may buy this game too. Another thing is Live's presentation blows away 2k's this year. They have analysis, halftime and post game shows. 2k is mediocre this year and I'm a 2k fan.

Looking much better. Nice job EA I can tell you've been working hard. A few more years to polish up the jerkyness and tighten up some of the presentation elements (Line-up Intro's/Halftime show/Dead Air) and this could get back to its former greatness...
This looks GREAT. All the cheesy 2k fanboys are going to hate. But this definitely has a more mature NBA type presence to it. I love that its not animation heavy.

What I like about this compared to 2K15 Is that it is that the things you do is not strictly controlled by animations. There seems to also be less reaction lag of the controlled players(which is a lot in 2k15).
Damn this game looks amazing. They really stepped it up this is officially a next gen title. Looks great cant wait to play it.

This game is WAY better than any previous versions, They have improved immensely since last year. If they stay on the right track they may be able to contend with 2k in a few years. Competition will only make both games better.

This game has so much potential. The graphics are actually better in my opinion than 2K, the problem is the player engine. You have to realize they stopped making the game a few years ago and have re started from scratch. 2K has had years to tweak their product. Give this series some time to develop. NBA Live 17, maybe even 16, will be very good. It is just not there yet.

The crowd, PA, and atmosphere all seem way better than 2k. It actually sounds real. 2k's sounds are so stupid (especially the PA). I would say 2k has the edge on graphics and game play but Live is definitely making a comeback.

NBA Live 15 kinda reminds me of NBA 2k13 in the way of graphics and gameplay. Definately an improvement over last years Live though.
Seems like game prods spent more time working on the graphics of the mid-game cutscenes (free throws, timeouts, etc) than they did on the actual gameplay when you're actually shooting and stuff.

am i the only person pleasantly surprised by how good this game is? Mind you, Ive been solely 2k since 2k2 for ps2...last live game i bough/played was 2003 with jason kidd on the cover. Didnt feel like dropping 60 dollars for 2k15 on ps4 but found live on ps4 store on sale for 14.99...downloaded it and am having tons of fun with it...a refreshing change after a decade of 2k...I hope Live improves even more in next years game but im very satisfied with live 15. you can tell EA put alot of effort into this one.

I think it looks pretty good IMO. A huge step up from NBA Live 14! Animations do look a little robotic like and choppy…. But that can and most likely will be fixed with Updates and Patches. I believe for the first few weeks the gaming experience might be a little flawed, but with some minor improvements I think this game will do just fine. I will be trying out the demo first though LOL I really want EA to do good with Live because I am really starting to get bored with the 2K series, I won’t be taking any chances though after last years game being a complete flop. I definitely want to make sure my money is going to something good.
If they could combine the presentation and detail with the gameplay of 2k, that would be the best game ever! Nba 2k Live!

Not graphically on par with 2k yet but much improved from live 14. Gameplay still a little robotic but a lot better than last year. Hopefully by next year live will be a serious contender because im tired of paying $60 for 2k when it takes months for them to get their servers working.

I hope i don't get any hate for this but there's just something wrong in this game, its scary, it's like playing with a bunch of lifeless, stiff ,plastic doll looking characters, it doesn't look aLIVE, the movements are too computer generated.
Not sure whether I should get this or 2k15, they both look good in my opinion . I hope they have the dunk contest like in NBA live 05 then I'd definitely get live.
I played live with Jason Kidd on the cover I forgot which one that was that sound track was nice too live always had nice soundtracks

I've always been an NBA Live Guy. The only reason I got NBA 2K12, 13 was because Live/Elite got cancelled. 14 was ok. I just liked Lebron Mode. I am going back to Live can't wait. It looks great.

Blake hit a jumper and the crowd cheered like they were at Staples.......I felt no home/away atmosphere from the crowd. I cant rock with that. 2k crowd hardly cheers, like how it should be, just a small opinion. Nothing major though........Live still has a ways to go, in all facets of the game.

I just played 1 hour of Nba Live 15 with early EA access and came away thinking.....This feels like Xbox 360 ....The whole feel of this game is so below the standard of Nba 2k15 it makes you want to scream. Because I know thousands of gamer's wanted Nba Live 15 to be good and no matter how hard they try , no matter how long they delay , no matter how many assurances they give....its still badly inferior! The animations feel like they're from 2009 and why even bother to announce a starting line-up and, only announce 1 damm player from each team!!
The game has improved a bit since '14 but still on pare with the competitor.
Looks good, between this and 2k15, which game is easier to learn and master all the little nuances in the controls is gonna be the selling point to me.

I kinda want this game right now. Mostly because im still stuck on the start up game on 2k... So this will be my replacement till 2k16 haha but i want the new dragon ball z game so i dont know what to choose..
The animations seem to be a little choppy, but the play by play and color commentary seem to be pretty good, I still think 2K's gameplay is better, but this has the better presentation and better announcement team.
Only flaw would be that nobody moves around on offense, and that the dynamics and animations are as accurate. Characters also look skinny and lengthy

The sound design in this game is really much better than 2k. The animations are getting there, but the players themselves still look off a little bit. But the sounds, if I close my eyes, make me feel like I'm actually at or watching a real NBA game. I can't say that about 2k.

The Commentary Sounds Just Like Last Year 😧 But It Looks Dope So I'll Be Picking It Up .
The Commentary still sound the same but overall the game has improved much from last year but still not as fluid as 2k
I'll give it to EA with improvements on visuals. But the game tempo and animations feel wrong. The animations look really stiff, like the players snap to them, and it's not all of them, but a lot of animations do that. Halftime felt light in commentary. All those pauses and the lack of some kind of music feels odd, it's something people can eventually get used to, but it doesn't feel natural. Part of that might be because it's only Jalen Rose. It's really a nitpick if anything.
This game is more NBA based than 2k on all levels : Tendencies, Presentation, Gameplay, Sub Rotation, Commentary. The Only reason 2K is more highly praised is because of its Offensive Friendly animations. For that exact same reason people hate 2K because it's impossible to play defense.
Commentary? Really? You don't hear all that dead air in NBA Live? They rarely go into detail about the players to. 2k commentary even cut themselves off in a sentence when a exciting play happens randomly just like in real life. And then go BACK to what they were saying before lol

Graphically it looks good...knocking on 2K's door with that, but the game play still has a few years to go to be compared to 2K. It also looks a little too easy to make 3 pointers on here....out of the 30 3's they jacked up I only saw them miss about 2 or 3. The animations are kinda bad too...why would CP3 make that gesture as if they're winning the game when they're actually down 6 pts with 22.6 secs left on the clock?!

I downloaded this from my ea access on xbox one 12 midnite last night. shout out to ea access for playing ea games 5 days early (THAT WHY XBOX ONE IS THE BEST, PLAYSTATION IS A BASIC SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!), I can't lie the game is pretty good. I like the gameplay, graphics a a tiny bit better but graphics still not good. If live can fix these graphics on some 2k 14 level (not 2k15 cause it got downgraded) and have more cut scenes cause the live 15 gameplay is good, especially the shooting
