I am a big Re:Zero fan and happened to catch their collab promotion. I started playing about a week before the collab drop, and immediately got hooked by the story. The event hit and I was blown away by how the game handles their events. The interaction, the writing, the characters. Most people hated the Re:Zero event but I personally loved the heII out of it. This game pulled me in and I've played daily since day one, which is more than I can say for other gachas I have. Same as most of the player base, "came for the PLOT, and stayed for the plot."
I started playing NIKKE when the nier event started. I came for 2B, and i didn't get her, but playing the game felt so fun and I sometimes thought it was unfair until I found out other players are considering NIKKE as a fair gacha game than most gachas (genshin). NIKKE is my first Gacha game I've ever played and I've got to say that it's a good one. I also have to mention that I felt like I played NIKKE in the right time because when the 1st Anniversary arrived, i had enough gold tickets to get red hood, Smol white got me closer to beating the 160 wall, and in January, the new years event, i was able to use that New years NIKKE selector to finally get past the 160 wall. So from September to January i was able to pass the 160 wall, that's 4 or 5 months. I forgot to mention that I'm a f2p, havent spent a single dime on this game but if I could I definitely would (maybe on specific gacha skins).
I recently discovered I was not a day one player, but instead a day 2 player. i started because of the fanservice and because it was a butt focused game, originally I only thought of it as something that would be novel and fun to try once. However, I was surprised by the prologue and the characterization of the main cast. At that time I was pretty occupied, so despite liking it, I actually dropped the game for a while. I kept thinking about its characters and how well realized they were though and eventually I came back when Overzone started and after that, I never gave up on it. When we got around to the 1st anniversary, Nikke was already my favorite gacha game, only losing in story to FGO. Which is basically the same up until this day. For me gacha games are about story, characters and aesthetics above all else. I cannot fanthom losing my time with games that don't give me enough of that with the promise of vapid gameplay that is only ever rewarding if you get the new units. Which is why I gave up on Hoyo games altogether. Not to say that I don't like Nikke's gameplay or its incredible minigames, however, they're not the reason I play this game for.
i took a month break and missed on modernia, coming back i had to wait to right before they reran her to finally get my first copy😂😂😂, man im sure you remember seeing all the how to beat videos going modernia is a must i was fighting for my life😭😭
@@AintaWeeb2 Yeah, I got her on a Pilgrim mold, but it took a long time. Up until Red Hood I was struggling and my main DPS was basically 2B and Dorothy. lol But a year later and the only Pilgrim I am missing is Snow White now. One thing is funny for me though, I got Scarlet before Zxous lol
Found the nikke story on a random playlist a read thru like 10 chapters and fell in love with the game sadly my PC was broken so I had to wait like 5-7 months to download it and play it for my self but i still kept up with the story, bond story and events but now that I have it on PC i play it everyday and love every character even the ones that shift up makes you want to hate
i tried Nikke because i was interested in the character designs, eye catching, not boring to look at, the fan service is not too much.. i also like the apocalyptic alien robot theme, i like the Rapture design.. but i've been playing this game since the Duo Bunny 777 event, what kept me going was the storyline, the music, and the whole world building. this game is the only longest gacha game i've played...

I'll always remember when I first started playing, and I saw Pilgrim and didn't know they were rare until I started watching you and many others before subbing. My face was in complete shock when I got Isabel, Harran, and Noah in my f2p rolls before becoming a spender when skins in 2023 and the Nier collab dropped, lol

Came for plot, stayed for plot. In all seriousness, I was years waiting for ProjectEve/Stellar Blade to release and wanted to play a game by Shift Up to see what their games would be like. Needless to say, I was incredibly impressed with both games and I’m still here! The Stellar Blade and Nikke soundtracks go unbelievably hard!
I started Nikke mainly because I was a hardcore player for Shiftup's first game Destiny Child. I played the KR version mostly back then and when I saw the first trailer of Nikke in beta it looked so cool and it was more of a realistic and apocalyptic setting compared to Destiny Child which I was looking forward to. Till this day I am surprised not many people who play Nikke know about DC but at the same time I can understand because it was the first child of Shiftup. So yeah, I am so glad many people know about Nikke and have made a huge impact on Shiftup to produce such a high tier gaming experience internationally.
I did not even know Nikke existed until the Evangelion collaboration. Since then, the game's art direction, character designs, music and story have all kept me hooked. I would describe Nikke as what you get when you mix The Terminator with Ghost in the Shell, and add some dashes of Robocop, Blade Runner and The Matrix.

I started playing Nikke a month after its release, but not sure why I started playing. It might have been because of Myst making a video on it, or those awful TH-cam ads and the way they advertised it. But it was worth it since I’m been invested since.
I started on the last day of the 1 Year Anniversary, and I didn’t even know it was the Anniversary 😂. I saw an ad for 2B on TikTok, which caught my eye. Though, what really got me to start playing was when I saw another ad with Noir. Unfortunately, the Nier event had apparently been done by the time I saw that ad. I had been duped into downloading with the promise of using 2B, but then I stayed with the game when I realized how interesting and compelling the story and characters were. When I unlocked Maiden her design and personality kept me here. This is why I always say that Noir and Maiden tie for my favorite Nikke. I came for Noir and stayed for Maiden. Nikke isn’t the first gacha game I ever played, but it’s the first one I stuck with. Also, having awesome content creators such as yourself and GoGo make it a lot more enjoyable to play and stay up to date with the game.
The reason I got into Nikke was because of the Nier event, only figure out that I was too late and missed my chance to get 2B. However, I stayed because I got into the story and got RH, SBS, and Crown randomly through ordinary recruitment without knowing how powerful they were, so I found a new reason to play Nikke, for the amazing stories and engaging events. (I miss 2B and naked king but hey, it's whatever at this point, I got Cinderella and SBS's skins now.)
I think I had actually gotten into NIKKE from a video covering how people were going crazy of Elegg. I downloaded when I saw Alice (I love pink/bunny aesthetics) and then I just kept playing because all the characters were pretty and the story was amazing!

I started playing because my friend knew my obsession with Gacha games and told me to play this. It took me 3 months to actually download the game and play. I started during the 1st anniversary and I play on 2 accounts one paid and one free 😅
For l think 3 years l have been playing RSL phone on 16h a day, juggling devices to keep up. Grinding for days just yo get a pice of gear that gets wrecked with one bad roll. And l hated it. Then one day l saw someone react to the "butt game". Thought it was a total gooner thing, not a "serious" gatcha . But it was summer, after watching the video l got recommended this channel. Thought , why not try this nikke thing out . For the lols, because l was getting sick doing 1h runs x3 on hydra. The banner was neon (got her to 6 copies lol) , started playing and it was so chill and fun. Maiden was my main dps, had no meta charas (l mean just playing for the lols , so am not going to spend), but still having fun. The story was oddly serious and dark. I kept having fun not spending money, and l didn't have to spend 400$ to get a chance at a core "must have" character. I also didn't have to (auto)play 16h a day. I think in september l dropped RSL and started playing nikke . I don't have all heroes . Sometimes l get lucky (7 copies of red hood) and Sometimes l pop 30k crystals and don't get a single copy of the cat burgler lady. But l never feel shut out from content or that l won't be able to do specific content because my grave is zero star or my Alice doesn't have her item maxed.
The amount of fan service actually made me want to stay away, but I was getting sick of how genshin was treating the game and it's player base. I watched a TH-camr play it, so I gave it a try when it first came out. Even tho I've tried snow break, zzz, Tof, and both honkais- none of them really made me want to stick around besides NIKKE. As a game I feel it respected my time ... although now I feel like they're taking too much time to make real end game content. I just hope it doesn't go down the same path as genshin.
Originally I started to stop the ads of the game because it pi**** me off then played chapter 0 and 1 due to 30 minutes to stop the ads. Fan service was a meh to me and still is to this day. I watch dxd and complained about flashing the assets and not getting to the story, nikke got some what the same treatment but the title card of chapter 1 kept me here . Same with Dandadan all the convincing I needed was they stole his balls to get me invested when they added aliens and ghost I was Like what is so confusing. DC went EOS, I wasn't playing any other gacha and based on the previews why not?... well, after playing since day one, I regret playing it, I mean it's a good gacha but the fact that the only content is the release of nikke after nikke with so many forgotten content makes it so bad.
I pre-registered for the game on playstore, forgot about it since i didnt get the notification when it came out but BUT an ad played with snow white, instantly loved her design and went to download it. Hopped in when hightech toy was out and got Snow White legit around chpater 4-5. Nikkes a gacha, so you could imagine my reaction when i got her so early. Best girl kept me in the game to this day.

Started playing Nikke when it came out, it was only recently i decided to use the event replay film rolls because I never got to complete No Caller Id because i was too weak at the time (now im a freaking beast lol) kinda sad we dont get more side stories with counters anynore to build more of the commander/counter relationship even further.

After a bit i took a 2-4 month break during the chainsaw man event and came back during the first and second summer event (the one in 2023) and then took another break again till the nier event and then another break (trust me this is my last one) until the red ash event and i was instantly hooked into nikke, like actually before the red ash event i did not know the majority of the fuctions if the game like the lost relics and such. Nowadays ive been logging into nikke ever 1-3 days depending in how i feel and slowly level up to get to the next stage in the story. I am currently at chapter 26 and assending slowly just enjoying my time.
A friend recommended it to me and just said that i should at least play until i have seen the first animated scene... this hookt/traumatized me... also the music. My playlist is full of this games music. Was also blessed with an early Doro shortly followed by Red hood. So i was basically flying through the story.
It was all about Volume. At that time I was playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang, I was tired of the Mobas and I wanted something different and decided to watch the porridge. When I saw Volume Shoot in a TH-cam video, I downloaded the game right then and there. And the story was so good that I stayed for that and for Volume that after a few months I got it... I started about 4 days after launch. A game with hot waifus with guns seemed like a fun concept. As I've said before though... you come in for the waifus and you stay for the story and I was very interested in the main campaign. That said what made me a huge fan was Over Zone. That story was major emotional damage. It's the reason I continue to play. Now if they would just release SSR Rapi so my waifu will be relevant.

Why? I wanted some straight up fan service, period. Why did i stay? The music is downright AMAZING, and the story honestly hooked me. Fan service has truly taken third place to those 2 things.
I don’t really have a deep reason for why I started the game I just found it interesting. Did stay though because unlike many gacha games that did have good character design the story actually had flavor to it.

I started to play Nikke because of the art design, my last game is destiny child but never spend so much time till I knew the game is about to end then they tease this game, so I try to play and fell in love and got addicted to gameplay and because back there the game is very short for me and asking for more so I tried the other servers they'd offer and eventually played them all till this day, now all of them or the 5 servers I have right now is now 400+, and I can manage 1 server just 20mins daily but because I play all the servers so I can spend so much time to it
Learned about Nikke due to Shift Up talking about a possible collab with it and Stellar Blade. Started playing after seeing someone's roll video of Summer Rosanna and thought i could just get in for her and nothing else....5 months later it turns out she wouldn't let me leave 😂
Volume isn't that bad until recently she was in every solo raid and before Rouge came out she was everyone's B1 CDR for Tetra tower. A lot of people probably still use her, she is one of the few cooldown reduction characters.

I started playing Nikke a month after its release, but not sure why I started playing. It might have been because of Myst making a video on it, or those awful TH-cam ads and the way they advertised it. But it was worth it since I’m been invested since.
I started on the last day of the 1 Year Anniversary, and I didn’t even know it was the Anniversary 😂.
I saw an ad for 2B on TikTok, which caught my eye. Though, what really got me to start playing was when I saw another ad with Noir. Unfortunately, the Nier event had apparently been done by the time I saw that ad. I had been duped into downloading with the promise of using 2B, but then I stayed with the game when I realized how interesting and compelling the story and characters were. When I unlocked Maiden her design and personality kept me here.
This is why I always say that Noir and Maiden tie for my favorite Nikke. I came for Noir and stayed for Maiden.
Nikke isn’t the first gacha game I ever played, but it’s the first one I stuck with. Also, having awesome content creators such as yourself and GoGo make it a lot more enjoyable to play and stay up to date with the game.

The reason I got into Nikke was because of the Nier event, only figure out that I was too late and missed my chance to get 2B. However, I stayed because I got into the story and got RH, SBS, and Crown randomly through ordinary recruitment without knowing how powerful they were, so I found a new reason to play Nikke, for the amazing stories and engaging events. (I miss 2B and naked king but hey, it's whatever at this point, I got Cinderella and SBS's skins now.)
I think I had actually gotten into NIKKE from a video covering how people were going crazy of Elegg. I downloaded when I saw Alice (I love pink/bunny aesthetics) and then I just kept playing because all the characters were pretty and the story was amazing!

I started NIKKE when Dorothy came out I love her design and the story was amazing and the game has gotten better over time
I started during the Re zero event partly because I like ReZero and partly because I heard so much about how this game was not ashamed to show feminine beauty
I was feeling down bad one afternoon and remember seing some shorts. I thought I would play it for a day to see what it's about and then drop it... then I cleared Chapter 1 and the rest is history.

I joined halfway thru Juvenile Days. I saw a mutual friend playing this but thought this game was horny bait. Then one day I bought three boxes of Union Arena Nikke and pulled the most expensive card, the 3* Modernia/Marian. Took it as a sign to start playing and have been enjoying it since.

Day one player here. The story, music, characters, and fairly f2p nature is the reason I still play everyday. Also Shift Up has came a long way compared to the early days of the game where it feels they do care about community feedback
I started playing because my friend knew my obsession with Gacha games and told me to play this. It took me 3 months to actually download the game and play. I started during the 1st anniversary and I play on 2 accounts one paid and one free 😅
For l think 3 years l have been playing RSL phone on 16h a day, juggling devices to keep up. Grinding for days just yo get a pice of gear that gets wrecked with one bad roll. And l hated it. Then one day l saw someone react to the "butt game". Thought it was a total gooner thing, not a "serious" gatcha . But it was summer, after watching the video l got recommended this channel. Thought , why not try this nikke thing out . For the lols, because l was getting sick doing 1h runs x3 on hydra. The banner was neon (got her to 6 copies lol) , started playing and it was so chill and fun. Maiden was my main dps, had no meta charas (l mean just playing for the lols , so am not going to spend), but still having fun. The story was oddly serious and dark. I kept having fun not spending money, and l didn't have to spend 400$ to get a chance at a core "must have" character. I also didn't have to (auto)play 16h a day. I think in september l dropped RSL and started playing nikke . I don't have all heroes . Sometimes l get lucky (7 copies of red hood) and Sometimes l pop 30k crystals and don't get a single copy of the cat burgler lady. But l never feel shut out from content or that l won't be able to do specific content because my grave is zero star or my Alice doesn't have her item maxed.
Re zero collaboration and coworker recommendation
The amount of fan service actually made me want to stay away, but I was getting sick of how genshin was treating the game and it's player base.
I watched a TH-camr play it, so I gave it a try when it first came out. Even tho I've tried snow break, zzz, Tof, and both honkais- none of them really made me want to stick around besides NIKKE.
As a game I feel it respected my time ... although now I feel like they're taking too much time to make real end game content. I just hope it doesn't go down the same path as genshin.

Originally I started to stop the ads of the game because it pi**** me off then played chapter 0 and 1 due to 30 minutes to stop the ads. Fan service was a meh to me and still is to this day. I watch dxd and complained about flashing the assets and not getting to the story, nikke got some what the same treatment but the title card of chapter 1 kept me here .
Same with Dandadan all the convincing I needed was they stole his balls to get me invested when they added aliens and ghost I was Like what is so confusing. For context highschool dxd was on my harem binge session I can name them if you guys want

I started playing during red hoods story because I liked the idea of a 1 handed game that you don’t have to flip your phone to play. I thought it would be a fun game to play at work buttttttt yeah needless to say I don’t play it at work but the story is phenomenal and the gameplay is fun I’ve been playing daily since I downloaded it.

But then I came back again when the School Girls banner was up this time it was a different account because I forgot the account details, which then I got it back. I also tried rerolling account thingy and that ended up being a good start. And that's why I have 3 nikke accounts lol. That how I got into NIKKE.
I saw a video that I can't find out now about korea gender wars and nikke portraying women rights and it had footage from nikke and evangelion collab and I love Asuka so I started cause of that lol
Yeah same for me, volume got me into it. Even better she is my first SSR and till this day she is the main in my team.
DC went EOS, I wasn't playing any other gacha and based on the previews why not?... well, after playing since day one, I regret playing it, I mean it's a good gacha but the fact that the only content is the release of nikke after nikke with so many forgotten content makes it so bad.
I pre-registered for the game on playstore, forgot about it since i didnt get the notification when it came out but BUT an ad played with snow white, instantly loved her design and went to download it. Hopped in when hightech toy was out and got Snow White legit around chpater 4-5. Nikkes a gacha, so you could imagine my reaction when i got her so early. Best girl kept me in the game to this day.

Started playing Nikke when it came out, it was only recently i decided to use the event replay film rolls because I never got to complete No Caller Id because i was too weak at the time (now im a freaking beast lol) kinda sad we dont get more side stories with counters anynore to build more of the commander/counter relationship even further.
I started at the time the first modernia banner was going on having had recently watched an ad of nikke that i found "interesting" and decided to try it out and immediately got heart broken like almost every person that has nikke. After a bit i took a 2-4 month break during the chainsaw man event and came back during the first and second summer event (the one in 2023) and then took another break again till the nier event and then another break (trust me this is my last one) until the red ash event and i was instantly hooked into nikke, like actually before the red ash event i did not know the majority of the fuctions if the game like the lost relics and such. Nowadays ive been logging into nikke ever 1-3 days depending in how i feel and slowly level up to get to the next stage in the story. I am currently at chapter 26 and assending slowly just enjoying my time.

Heard of Nikke and decided to give it a try. Glad I join when I did because I joined a few days before the summer 2024 event kicked off.
It was all about Volume. At that time I was playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang, I was tired of the Mobas and I wanted something different and decided to watch the porridge. When I saw Volume Shoot in a TH-cam video, I downloaded the game right then and there. And the story was so good that I stayed for that and for Volume that after a few months I got it... I think I'll start the game after 2 weeks that it will be released globally or less.

It's funny how i got into Nikke, I watch a streamer called Nagzz21 but he only does gacha with his chat and did not even play the game lol, But he was going for a character but forgot who it was cause this was back in 2023 and he kept getting Volume and i thought she was hot lol.

I started about 4 days after launch. A game with hot waifus with guns seemed like a fun concept. As I've said before though... you come in for the waifus and you stay for the story and I was very interested in the main campaign. That said what made me a huge fan was Over Zone. That story was major emotional damage. It's the reason I continue to play. Now if they would just release SSR Rapi so my waifu will be relevant.

I started playing Nikke because of Destiny Child. I loved that game. Nikke is carrying the Torch now. I can still feel abit of DC's presence in Nikke. Wish shift up would give us Mona, Davi, and Lisa in Nikke. That would be fire.
I started after i saw the April Fools event, unfortunately i got on late and didn't get to play it but i did get to experience the Re: Zero event. Been hooked for the character's design and story
Why? I wanted some straight up fan service, period.
Why did i stay? The music is downright AMAZING, and the story honestly hooked me. Fan service has truly taken third place to those 2 things.

I don’t really have a deep reason for why I started the game I just found it interesting. Did stay though because unlike many gacha games that did have good character design the story actually had flavor to it.
A friend was talking about how good the story was so I decided to check it out. People close to me know that I really don't care for the fanservice stuff like I don't hate it but it does nothing for me so I thought he was overhyping it but he was telling the truth.
It was in the sci-fi niche which is part of my preference. Characters were a bonus although the promotion was the reason I didn't instantly tried it as some as I saw it. About a 2 day delay from the download.

I started to play Nikke because of the art design, my last game is destiny child but never spend so much time till I knew the game is about to end then they tease this game, so I try to play and fell in love and got addicted to gameplay and because back there the game is very short for me and asking for more so I tried the other servers they'd offer and eventually played them all till this day, now all of them or the 5 servers I have right now is now 400+, and I can manage 1 server just 20mins daily but because I play all the servers so I can spend so much time to it
Learned about Nikke due to Shift Up talking about a possible collab with it and Stellar Blade. Started playing after seeing someone's roll video of Summer Rosanna and thought i could just get in for her and nothing else....5 months later it turns out she wouldn't let me leave 😂
Volume is why i started Nikke, a shame she isn't good so havent used her. stayed for the story.
Volume isn't that bad until recently she was in every solo raid and before Rouge came out she was everyone's B1 CDR for Tetra tower.
A lot of people probably still use her, she is one of the few cooldown reduction characters.
