assalamu alaikum everyone!! once I heard a saying that goes "If you see a man with alcohol dripping from their beard, have a mentality of thinking someone poured it on him, if you see a fellow brother with a woman think that it's his wife, if you see a man coming out of a bar was seen in a bar, think that they were there to drag a brother out of the haram" personally think is how we should be, having a strong mentality that doesn't judge fast

This is a very weak and unauthenticated saying by some Sahabah, although Omar bin Al-Khatab said: " وضعْ أمرَ أَخيكَ على أَحسنِهِ حتى يجيئَكَ ما يغلبُكَ " which has an authentic chain.
Omar RA said "حتى يجيئك ما يغلبك" as in until it is 100% proven, which is why this argument is only partially correct.
We are told to try to change evil with our hand first, if not, then with our tongue, if not, then in our hearts and that is the weakest of Iman, as the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said.
There is a big difference in the sin being judged too. For example, if its a Muslim woman that is wearing revealing clothes of course you have to have it at least in your heart against what she's wearing, otherwise there is something wrong.
I can sustain being looked down upon or being so for looking down on people if it means people will fear Allah more.
The prophet of Allah صلوات ربي عليه said: "كل أمتي معافاة إلا المجاهرين" - - - "All my Ummah is forgiven but the Mujahirin" (the ones who expose their sins to the public/sin in public)
What good is there in us if we cannot follow our faith correctly?!

@@loeki8478 jazakallah khairan for the hadith. I just said that saying because it just means your not supposed to judge someone at the first sight. What you said is very true and should try to talk to people who are doing haram openly. But in what i said in the paragraph, nothing can be clearly said as "haram" until we know the proper situation. But again you are right

"Absolutely! In Islam, we're reminded time and again to focus on our own deeds and refrain from passing judgment on others. Our journey is about self-improvement and fostering compassion, not about critiquing others. Let's spread kindness and understanding instead of judgment, for that's the path towards a more harmonious and loving community. May Allah guide us to embody His mercy and forgiveness in our interactions with one another."

aameen. Although there is a fine line between judging and advising. Correct we r not the ones to say “Allaah loves me
more” or “ur going jannah/jahannam” but we can advise. and that shud be out of love/ care for ur fellow Muslim. Not because u want ego boost. AND when someone advices us we need to assume best and not assume bad of them no matter even if they r a but rough.

I partially agree with the argument that we can't decide that who will enter heavens or the hell and that we shouldn't badmouth against someone doing a good deed as only Allah Almighty knows what is in his/her heart but at the same time if someone is doing something wrong then as a Muslim it is our duty to correct him/her. In that case we can't say I can't judge him/her. Allah Almighty says in the Quran:
"There has to be a group of people from among you who call towards the good, and bid the Fair and forbid the Unfair. And it is these who are successful. " (Quran 3:104)
You are the best ‘Ummah ever raised for mankind. You bid the Fair and forbid the Unfair, and you believe in Allah. If the people of the Book had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them, there are believers, while most of them are sinners. (Quran 3:110)

Thank you. Finally someone in these comments that understands. People especially the sisters love this idea they take it and go over board with it. “Don’t judge me only Allah can judge me” then they continue doing the haram and they don’t want to hear anything from anyone about stopping just doing whatever the hell they want. If I see my brother doing haram I’m going to pull him to the side and say what are you doing?? I’m going to correct it this do not judge thing is going to be a trick of the shaitan, people are not going to understand what do not judge really means and we will just see people doing haram with no corrections, as if they will just magically stop on their own

judging has always been a part of humanity and it is not certainly something bad. If you see evil you are supposed to judge, but it has to come with a big dose of benefit of the doubt. But judging doesn't mean just hating someone it means calling out someone. The sahaba used to do this. Would the prophet allow for evil things that he saw? He would immediately call it out. So for that girl in the crop top maybe she does not know about awrah and in that case it would be our duty to call it out. Talking to her directly would expose you to some awrah so dropping a paper explaining etc.

    1. Lessons from the quran/surahs - In this series you would go through some surahs and talk about lessons/what the surah is about. You would also talk about some key verses and there meaning (Check out project zamzam for inspo)
    2. 40 hadiths- In this series you’d go through the 40 hadiths with explanation and backstories behind it.
    3. Sahaba series - descriptions and info on some sahaba ( the 10 promised jannah)
    4. Prophet series ( stories on prophets and the lessons we learn from them)
    Video Ideas
    1. Anger and how to control it
    2. doubts and waswas
    3. How to cope with families going against religion
    4. Things all muslims should know
    5. how to face reality and change for the better

I needed this I am a very judgemental person but I don’t say the things to them I know that they could to good but the bad takes over like people say you can do a million good things but once you do one bad thing everyone looks down on you for it when they should be looking at themselves for assuming bad of that person and looking down at them when we should assume the best their journey is different to ours and I’m still taking my time so I have to remember…
While I’m learning I should not be judgemental of others as I don’t know anything about them only Allah is the judge not me our journey is different and we can’t be calling people fake Muslims or anything like that cause only Allah knows best
Please anyone if you see this reply or like so I can be reminded not to judge others

😂I hate this concept so much. Me personally, I’m going to continue to judge. Never will I say someone will go to the hell fire but I’m going to continue to judge people I see doing wrong publicly. If I see haram I’m going to be judging, the prophet Saw said
“If you see evil, change it with your hand, if you cannot change it with your hand, change it with your tounge, and if you cannot change it with your tounge, change it with your heart”
This whole new “do not judge” thing is good in concept but then it gets abused by people who do haram and do not want to be corrected. I see my brother free mixing in public, he is speaking to a woman one to one on the side, flirting laughing etc. I’m going to pull him to the side and say what the hell are you doing this is fitna. If he tells me “bro don’t judge me” I’m going to slap the hell outta bro the correct answer is “استغفرالله your right” and he stops that haram, because I’d rather prevent evil then letting it spread because “I shouldn’t judge” absolute bull man.

    • @natttjej
      @natttjej 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Until when you will argue with people that doing haram things? Until when you will judge them that actually maybe will just dirt your heart instead of making them in a right way? If it's your brother you can remind him but you have no right to force him because you're not his parent(reference to Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem). Also if you're thinking about that's also what da'wah is you should look at surah An-Nahl verse 256, Al Hijr verse 94 and Ali Imran verse 159 . The da'wah should be no force, and in a way that is best which will not make other people get insult instead with our da'wah. On the end of those verses there, only Allah that knows who is rightly guided and Allah needs us to be tawakal that is give it to Allah for the result after that. If you keep judging other than trying to get close to them in a good way then spread it, you'll get disappointed or even the worse your heart getting dirtier because of those act or even only judge them on your head or heart. Naudzubillah.
The hadits that you wrote means that we're doing da'wah with our capacity. But it doesn't mean we really need to do harm or evil things to them if we want to spread the da'wah..
The da'wah has rules. That's why we need to learn everything first before action. I'm not trying to argue, I just want you to see from the real another perspective that Allah has written for it. May Allah always guide us on his right way. Ameen
