Her dad is a pure korean. I'm not sure what is the reason of her grandparents living in Japan. But I watched an episode in this show where sarang and her dad went to her dad and grandparent's old house in korea.

Came back to this video after the news of her grandpa's passing... they were indeed a choovely family. rest in peace :(
