Baked chicken, mashatatos as my youngest son calls them, I mixed a can of greens with some cabbage and put in a turkey tail to simmer with, creamy chicken rice, gravy and cornbread. Truly a comfort meal and that's the prettiest meatloaf I've ever seen. I just made a meatloaf, the only difference was I spray nonstick on the bottom of a casserole, place slice potatoes and put meatloaf on the top and bake. There's your meat & potatoes all in one. I mixed ground turkey & ground pork, it turned out delicious. You got my favorite veggie corn. Miriam you're the best!!!

Been a while since I had a good home cooked meatloaf dinner. And I have never made a meatloaf in my cast iron skillet. I will definitely be making this YUMMY meal.
I absolutely love meatloaf but because of you I now make my gravy meatloaf the way you do. And I did and the same instant potatoes to potatoes and it turned out perfect. But my family likes peas&carrots or just plain sweet peas with it.
I recommend adding parmensan cheese at the end. It is in the category of ingredients that lose flavor if cooked. Those little flakes are not meant to last an entire hour at 350 with retention of any existence lol

Yup!! And nowadays ground turkey is cheaper than ground beef. Taste is in the onion soup mix!
