This dude is absolutely amazing! He explained the difference between save as and export as to the smallest details and we didn't realised he actually SAVED US all. Hat down Unmesh you are master to me. Keep creating, love from Serbia
Like many people, we've been using photoshop for so long now, that we've missed these 'newer' methods and still donig things the old fashioned way. Great video, really like the tutortial style !
Ohh man I kinda grew up with your tutorials! I found your channel through the suggested videos. I watched one of your highly recommended videos which were helpful and very informative, then I went to your channel and started watching your videos, I realized the videos you upload have great content, I had to sub and I have to let you know what you are doing is helping. Now, a year later, I've grown up, got my own channel to share the skills that I have learned with others... Thanks for all your help. Please keep it up!
I thought this would be a dry, boring and unnecessary video about Photoshop mechanics. It turned out to be one of the most enlightening videos on Photoshop ever! A must for every Photoshop user. I learned things I didn't know I had to learn - thank you, Unmesh
I really admire how you managed to explain a thing that could be simply explained by "Save as - saves the project, later editable // Export - creates the image or final product" and managed to put it in a 17 minutes video. Anyways, great video, as always UwU
thanks bro I think you are most valuable teacher for me I will watch your videos and gain some extra knowledge about these techniques after clearing my medical exam which is on 17 july 2022
I am seeing your videos everyday and I can't imagine the basic knowledge I am getting from these videos. Thankyou so much sir for your efforts and hard work. The way you explain it is way better than my teachers and I always makes notes while watching your videos. It helps me a lot.
Unmesh, this video has rocked my world! Somehow I never knew about export as and only knew to use save as. Thank you so much. It was one of those "I must've missed that day in class" situations. I'm doing the happy dance this morning.
Been working with the Fuji100s. The file sizes have been giving me headaches in resizing. Omg 😳 this is it. Through your excellent teaching, your a jewel 💎 thank you so much for what you give and share freely to us all.
Didn't even know I had that second option for saving. I've wasted so many hours going back several times to the original to save it in different sizes etc for different types of posting and publishing. And secondly, I have no idea how you manage to verbalise soooo much info into a 17 minute tutorial without a single hesitation or even take a sip of water. Whew! 🤹♂️🤹♂️ I agree with all comments here, you are the best. Thank you
Unmesh - you rock with all your videos and the way you make things easier to understand and how to maximize many features of Photoshop. I am sure many people appreciate how humble you are to share your skills. I do. You're a maestro!
Hi Unmesh. An important addition if I may? Love your education skills btw. Here’s my point: “point 11”, the workflow from Lightroom to PS and back requires Save as. Not Export as. - When you in Lightroom choose ”Edit in:”....and choose ”Photoshop”, Lightroom direkts you to PS. Then when you use Save (saves with the options of your earlier picks and choices..) or Save as, (let’s you pick choices) - Photoshop automatically put Your PS-edited picture intothe correct catalogue in Lightroom (from where you had the original) ...and in the file type of your pick within the save as-dialogue box in PS. This is not possible in Export as!.. However there is a bug in the latest CC-update so the file goes to the right place in Lightroom (file hierarchy in Finder (mac) but doesn’t show up in LR. Trying to import it is then only possible if you move the photo to a new location within Finder. LR doesn’t see it otherwise to import it. Hope this is helpful.
Watching your videos is always rewarding. I already knew about Save As/Export As, but gave it a try. Now I know about ctrl alt shift e and couldn't be happier.
Hats off mentor Unmesh for such informative videos. I would request you for a video explaining how can we add light necklace to an image keeping intact the image quality of necklace .
First, thank you for the many hours you give us. I have flown by the canvas size and never paid attention to it until I saw your example. I think it will be a useful tool for me on some prints. So stunned I shoot something cropped a little tight in camera. Then when I get a print made, they trim it just inside the edge of the frame and cut off important details. I can use canvas size to quickly add a border just on thee file I’m exporting for printing. Then the trimming will cut into the white instead of the photo.
Every video in this channel is "Gold". Learnt lot of things from your videos and got placed in a company. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Awesome! You are a great teacher
Agreed. Never seen a channel informative like this, no shit talking, just knowledge
With every video he impresses me more and more, the amount of knowledge he has on photoshop is amazing

All these years I have never even realized that "Export as" was a thing. Well. I'm going to be using that a lot more, that's for sure!
I never used 'export as'. But there are lots of things with this option. I never knew.
Thanks a lot for explained cleanly.
OMG I have been saving as for each size I want. MIND BLOWN!
I always use export as for web compression where filesize matters and save as for everything else.
Last trick brought worth of this whole video..
Thank You...

As always Unmesh, fantastic video.

9:36 experimenting with Save As quality slider. Boy am I guilty of that 😂 this is really clearing things up as to when I'd want to use Export vs Save!
I knew it
but love the way you explain
Informative video. One point the save Metadata only save the copyright information, it is worth noting that keywords are not saved in Export.
True Photoshop Legend!!!
So much I didn't know! Thank you for explaining everything!
