She was accused of faking her personality for TV throughout most of her original season even when she kept saying that was who she really was. Years later, the fans call her “iconic” and her Laganja’isms have become a staple in drag lingo. Yet, her personality remains the same. She has never changed, this has always been Laganja but the narrative pushed for her by production on season 6 did her dirty. During a Roscoe’s viewing party for AS6, Trinity K Bonet even confirmed this to be true while talking about Jan’s narrative for that season. Let’s also not forget the rumors circulating about her not being allowed to medicate while on set. Laganja doesn’t try to put on a show for people or give too much, that’s just who she is, and it’s a shame that it took the fandom so long to see that.

Listening to Laganja talk about drag race, I'll never forget Katya talking about how that whole season just beat her down for how she acted, and then to this day mimicks how she talked and profits off it. She genuinely deserved so much better but god I'm so so SO happy to see her thriving. She deserves that and so much more
I never got the hate. As a stoner, it just seemed to me like she needed her medicine. And now knowing she’s trans, the behavior just makes sense. Katya is an incredibly emotionally intelligent person and she sort of said out loud what I’ve always thought. The fact that Ganja just embraced it and grew really shows what kind of person she is.
I stan Katya, I even got her eyeshadow palette which I swatched & put away, LOL. They were brutal to Laganga, just nasty, I totally agree with Katya. Lagrange seems to have mellowed with age and I think she's just gorgeous now 💕
I understand the other contestants being annoyed, but as a viewer, she 👏made 👏 that 👏 season. 👏 It was hilarious. When she left, the fun went down by at least 70%. She's an entire show, a fierce queen, an amazing dancer, one of the most memorable contestants to ever grace the show. I wish her nothing but happiness and success because this fantastic human absolutely deserves it.

As someone who has worked in the mental health field & done therapy too, I recognize a lot of the key words & phrases (the mental health lingo) she uses are from those sources as well. Pot does work well to calm people down but it can only do so much, then you have to put in the work mentally to overcome personal mental obstacles if you want to be truly mentally healthy.
I love how she mentions the names of people around her all the time, friends or professionals... It's important to recognize how we would be nothing without people to support us. She's very beautiful and humble.
I ve noticed that many drag queens do that and it is so nice to just go on their instagram, see their influences, see their style, see their other works. Really lets me appreciate the artistry even more and lets me know that the queen in question is a genuine person who cares about her collaborators
I really loved this Out of the Closet episode. It was humbling, not over the top or cocky; just a drag queen who loves what she does and wants to share her passion with others. Laganja has really blossomed over the years.

Truly the first time I enjoyed a laganja interview was the pitstop recently and it’s because you can see such a breath with her. That’s the best way to describe it.. a breath of air went through her. A grown woman confident in herself and her space. It’s a beautiful thing to see someone evolve so wonderfully.
I love listening to her. She was so honest about about how she felt and who she is. She really grow up as a human being and that is just beautiful. The hate was underserved but I'm glad to know she learn from that and became wiser. God bless her! 💖

I just love Laganja so much. I think we (myself included) criticized her so harshly on her own season was BECAUSE she came off as a too over- self-produced. But, I think not too long after she just let herself be herself and grew from those criticisms without changing her core, her aura and her authenticity vibrated so well with everyone that she became an inspiration.
Although she was also young, she’s said she intended to keep attention on her. She’s learnt there are more pleasing ways to do that, but her onscreen personality is inspiring. She’s a cultural reset. I don’t think people recognise that.

She’s such a down to earth human. I’m from San Francisco and a couple years back there was a mid day silent auction/drag benefit on a Saturday afternoon. She was the guest performer and did a great job! Later, I left the club as the event was winding down and I wanted to go home and freshen up before the night. She was downstairs around the corner out of drag smoking a joint. I walked up and chit chatted with her. She shared some of the green and I asked if she was in town for the weekend and if so where could I catch her before she leaves. She said she only flew up here to do the benefit and will be heading to the airport soon. I took a picture with us blazed but with the biggest grins. One of the best moments meeting a queen I’ve ever had. Love you!!!
