Really interesting video. But there is one thing that actually speaks against an employee being in Mollie's costume. During the chase, there's a short moment where Mollie flies up to a platform that we couldn't reach. I don't see how a person in a costume could do that. So I'm really looking forward to Chapter 2, where hopefully all these questions will be answered.
I think that the Mollie who attacked us was a more biological creature. Like an actual animal was used as a mascot but was experimented on. In the little arcade game we see Mollie trapped a cage but later in that game we saw another Mollie who got "infected" by Salem. If that has any relevance to the actual reason for the park closing, Salem found a way to make a more aggressive version of the mascots while the real mascots are destroyed or trapped somewhere.
We already know that there was at least two different Molly's in the park because we see them in the same room while on the train. My belief is that the cardboard Molly is Rambley's friend, not the one that stalks our character. It's also worth mentioning that in the official music video for Rambley's Review we see that Rambley uses a magic wand to cure Molly and not kill her. So Rambley's programming might not allow him to recognize or acknowledge death or he's in denial. I'm also pretty certain that an Hour of Joy event did not happen at the park. At the end of the chapter, I hear what I believe is a great deal of water moving about near the entrance to Oceanic Odessey. So, I believe there was a flooding event from the Oceanic Odessey area of the park that prompted the sudden closure. This could account for the large amounts of debris strewn about the park that has no immediate source for that debris. The incident could have been caused by Llyod for some reason maybe accidentally or possibly due to Salem. As a sidenote I think that the corrupted Molly caused the tunnel collapse, probably an accident, at the beginning of the level. We don't see her at this point, but you can hear her repeat "get you set up" when Rambley sends you to Critter Corner. This places her in some hidden vent in that front area and that's when she starts stalking us.
Or Rambley acknowledges but acknowledges it as a version, an extension of Molly. The living biological Molly is based on a fictional character, who is behaving not Molly like even if they look like Molly, as such behaving a corrupt version of Molly. So by killing the living biological Molly he might view it as saving the Molly character. Additionally Rambley Ai is based on a fictional character who is best friend to Molly, as such Rambley (AI) should not be able to kill Molly as it would go against the character that the Ai is based on, but by interpreting it as saving her, he does not violate the character that he is based on. Lastly the Ai serves much more role in the park than being a tour guide, as such he/it needs to understand the existence of multiple versions of Molly. But this is my opinion.
I like this theory that she is still alive because I feel the same way about losing a favorite character too soon. The idea a person is in the suit chasing us first does explain the human blood scene at the end. Then on the hand, how can a person survive 8 years in the abandoned park with no supplies? Maybe there is some sort of hidden resources located within the park, like underground. Magic Kingdom does have tunnels underneath the park for employees and operations. Indigo Park is built like Magic Kingdom. I believe there may be some similarities here with a tunnel system with some people/entity watching from below to stop us from exploring the truth. A person put on a Mollie suit to try to stop us, but was unsuccessful. Now the others will try their attempt to stop us. This game is truly unique with lots of lore. Love your content btw. Awesome theory. 🎉
Well, that "multiples" wouldn't make sense for one character - Finnley. Lloyd, Molly, Rambley, and Salem could all logically have multiple versions, but I doubt Finnley would purely due to his size.
Why not an AI version. It makes more sense that the mascots have AI versions of themselves that are used as a template for a living mascot generator. Yet I plan on playing the game sometime this week.
@@zenvariety9383 I really doubt this. If we already have two AIs, (i.e. the Rambley on and suggested Salem one), there would really be no reason for a third AI. Plus, any AI takes a while to design all the details and responses of. This goes double if it's self-learning and is able to respond to people (like Rambley seems to do).
@@Shadowcat753 yeah, I do expect Salem to be an AI. If the other characters have AI versions I don't expect to see them until a much later chapter where it's discovered that they are being used as templates to churn our more living mascots
My theory is that however the mascots are made, the machines to do it are in the Royal Ranglers’ room. So far we have only seen one instance of each mascot so far but it could be possible that the Molly in the railroad road ride is a different one to the one in the playroom. Or there maybe sleeping ones in the Royal Ranglers’ replaces the one in the park if some signal is sent when the one in the park dies.
Something that no one has been paying attention to is during Rambley’s confession, he says “Employees stopped showing up, guests too” So I think that once the indigo company unveiled the new mascots, the guests and staff were a little creeped out by them and preferred the older mascots, causing them to leave. And with a lot of the former success of the park gone, the remaining staff of Indigo were getting paid less and took their anger out on the mascots, verbally and maybe physically abusing them. And one day eight years ago is when the mascots had their Hour of joy. But that’s just my little theory.
I have a sneaking suspicion that there's more than one of most of the mascots running around. Wouldn't be vary challenging or suspenseful if that were the case.
@@lunamelody2025 that could be the case too, but I'm sort of expecting a more anomalous machine that creates the mascots whole cloth with little to no explanation or an explanation that baffles the average person. So more or less an allusion to something that can be found within the SCP multiverse. SCP Foundation stuff is quite interesting and a good chunk of it can translate to horror. I believe there's an SCP that's literally based on killer mascots.
I really like the theory of the Molly we saw was not human, more like an animal that was experimented to be like the mascot character. And hence why her and Lloyd act more like animals and savage like, and the cast members mistreated them just like sometimes people mistreat animals at the zoo
Well in my opinion I think Molly is actually dead and Chapter 2 will focus on a new enemies possibly including a Finley and Salem as well in my opinion I think this chapter will mainly focus on Finley and Salem and will probably have an appearance from Lloyd in this chapter as well cuz that's one character I could definitely see returning in Chapter 2 but I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens
I'm doubting the mascots are human. I think it's more likely that mascots are living creatures. However, there may be subtle SCP influences. From what I've seen in Let's Plays in regards to Rambley, the living mascots, the Crittercuff, and the arcade machine seems like something that Dr. Wondertainment from the SCP multiverse would create. So Wondertainment or at least a character or a company like Wondertainment could be possible. Besides everything related to the SCP wiki is public domain. Heck there are SCPs that would work well in a mascot horror game.
I think it could be that this could be an Alice Angel situation. You know, from Bendy and the Ink Machine? There's Twisted Alice, an inky monstrosity with a half-melted face who only barely resembles the character of Alice Angel and who is violent and sadistic and cunning, and then there's Allison Angel, who is a far more complete Alice copy who is kind and helpful, but jaded. I think there could well be multiple Mollies, at least two. We also do see a caged up Mollie in Rambley Rush.
I think that there's a chance that Rambly is an actual mascot because, he did have his own plush, a golden version of said plush and a human costume. And also, how can Rambley have connections with the other mascots if he's just an A.I program. And I have a theory that his mascot, and his human version of the mascot in chapter 2
But no one has mentioned the fact that after you see and hear Mollie say he hurts Lloyd, five or ten seconds after that you see Finley too. Trapped the same way as Mollie
Like Huggy Waggy from poppy playtime. I don’t think Molly will return to the game. Unless there is a possibility of good and bad versions. Of the characters at Indego Park

Tbf, clones of the living mascots could still be tricky. Because sometimes some clones will behave differently.
