My Granddad was born in 1905 and was a hot rodder back in Model T days. Besides his souped up Model T roadster, he later had a Chevy that had been taken completely down, "blueprinted" and rebuilt by a master mechanic. Awesome performance, but also super smooth and quiet. And after that he had a straight-eight Studebaker Special. Still, his dream car was always the Stutz Bearcat. I always wanted to be able to buy him one. :-(
60 hp was respectable in a time when most people still used a real horse and when the Ford Model T had 20 hp. Three times as much horsepower. The first Ford Model B V8 had 65 hp and that was in 1932, 20 years later. It was affordable performance too. A Stutz Bearcat could be purchased for $2000 in 1914, when a Ford Model T was $550.
Show up in a Corvette convertible and people will think you're either a millionaire's spoiled kid, a trophy wife out on the town, or a 50 year old businessman trying really hard to pick up chicks like he was 23. Show up in a Stutz Bearcat, with the driving gloves and goggles...now THAT is a horse of a different color. Even though it actually costs more.

Driving the Stutz would be a special experience that few people can enjoy. Boeing vrs a P51? I'll take the P51 ride and drive the Stutz.
Why did you show a ZO6 engine for a Grand Sport? The Grand Sport has a LS3 not an LS7, right?
Does anyone know the name of the TV show in the late 60's or early 70's that had a BearCat as a major feature ?
no drag race? come on!
I wonder how many MPG those thing got
I don't believe I have ever seen a farm tractor with leaf suspension. Has any one else?

The next time a carmaker wants to resurrect a classic nameplate, they could do worse than "Bearcat".
@SuperfunkMF You probably shouldn't flog a 97 year old car, mate.
huh huh I thought it said "Slutz & Chevrolet at 100"
@47ambrose42jpm right
@47ambrose42jpm Engine Cover and headers. Nothing more.
