move one wheel at a time, monitor angle of the boom with a compass. will be slow but will follow a very predictable path between GPS way points because will move like a pair of dividers
You need a 100 dollar motor controller such as the ones Sabertooth makes that i bought that has full wireless networking and remote control abilities, and some mercury switches inline to regular balance, motors that could even be hubmotors, probably 24volts of battery, the rest is structural. Oops, almost forgot the tires! Could even add anti collision/proximity sensors such as ultrasonic or lidar or solid state lidar, even offer it a database of shape differentiations to identity the difference between a plant and a weed, some high speed adjustable position spray valves, and it would be useful for controlling weed growth amongst crops. Another option is to grow above soil, not growing in the ground, via tubes that hold water, then you'd have full control over weeds and prevent phosphorus from getting into the water table of the ground, and that would help prevent algae blooms, thus making waterways such as lakes and ponds and oceans much safer! You could build such a setup, for less than 400 dollars, unless using higher end lidar sensors and such.
Reminds me of Korean Farm tractors where a man stands behind two wheels like that on a platform where a wagon is towed. When they used the ramps to put the wheels into the van I was thinking, why not turn those ramps into the bridge between the tires, then it would have a dual purpose. Those poor wheels spend most of their lives living in the gutters.
ever heard of a thing called robotics? they can make it go to a charge pad when done so the farmer "rarely" has to worry about it, ive seen several videos of farmers using stuff that does this, first thing i can think of is manure pushers, those are battery operated and go to a dock to charge. only time they require services is if a board goes bad or the battery craps out. in the future farmers are gonna be using more and more stuff like this cause it will in the end save them a shit ton on labor costs and especially maintenance on said diesel and or gas vehicles / engines
'Monitor plant health'
What does it actually mean?
Like observing it's colour, leaves etc using image processing?
@1234 Plant health is pretty easy to monitor via infrared.
How the di wheel balancing done?
How did u made it can you can share with us and who made it that too
Why not have 2 more wheels and attain stability easily, instead of balancing it with fancy algos ?
Probably then they dont get money for research
Photovoltaics on the wheels 👍
The video must BE in a category --- "Hey fuckers, see what we have!"
please can you tell me the tyres name you are using?

what motor did you use?
Are there plans for this? or are they for sale?
I believe the startup/spin off Agerris (agerris.com/) is commercializing this research platform. It became the 'Digital Farmhand'.
@@unisydneyacfr Thanks so much for the info and for sharing!
How's the battery life on this?
It may stay in the wheel 🤔
Hi everyone. Please help me, how can i get this machine ? Maybe some of you know about price or seller. Thanks

Where are the other 2?? Wheels that is and controller. Need disiel/hydro. Farmers too busy to charge batterys js
