Take over the world in RISK Global Domination, the iconic strategy board game. - เกม
Nagzz shouting 'We have an alliance!' while killing Matt, after Chilled went to such trouble to not hurt him is peak Risk.
The Australian strategy is to take it , and just stay there. Turtle up, poke the country above for a card, retreat back to the entrance. Don't extend and just build and build til you have like 50+ on the entrance. It's at that point you begin to extend out from it. Where Ngazz messed up was taking Australia then trying to conquer the world. The Australian Turtle is a pure defensive strategy of holding til endgame.
It works until someone on the other side of the world gets too strong.
@@SalexeSAE Didn't say it was a perfect strategy. Definitely draws out a game massively with a front of "Who breaks first?"between the Turtle and the one knocking on the door.
The thing about holing up in Australia is that since there's only 1 way in, you just build AS massive of a force as you can at said way, so people don't try to fuck with you over the course of the game, despite the fact that they need to sooner rather than later, before you just snowball across any continent of your choosing. In other words, you're forcing people to fight a losing battle they don't wanna fight.
It works the best if north America Is contested and you can keep a territory there. Turtle up in Australia to keep that bonus but manage to keep a tile you can attack from in the northwest of the map. Greenland or Iceland are the best because you can break the monopoly easily on north America or Europe.

Risk, first class trouble and some of the Jackbox games are probably my most favorite to watch.

I believe the reason people like australia is because it has an incredibly strong chokepoint where if you get lucky enough can stall the game for hours
Yep, it’s the only continent in the game with a single way in through Siam. Keep that secure, then you just need to stack a bunch of troops at the entrance for a steady stream of troops.
@@bigbadbob7070 Starting there is kinda bad IMO. South America is only slightly worse on chokes, but gives you easy access to both Africa and North America, which are both constantly in power struggles, allowing you to sweep in and take them pretty easily from SA. Australia has good Defense, but SA is modal. You can play your cards close and keep bastions up, but also easily send massive flows of troops to locations in multiple continents easily, instead of being limited to just asia. The fact that you can also be locked out of moving due to Siam is a big pain.
@@Sassaparilla Really depends on how the game goes tbh, but yeah we already saw just how powerful getting SA locked down in the first few turns can be with Chilly’s performance

@@ryaniversen8653Mostly, but Corsica has always been it's own thing. Also, the idea of an "Italian identity" was only in it's embryonic stage. Italians thought of themselves as Neapolitans, Venetians, etc.

Ray's dice luck in this game is just ... it's something that someone should write a thesis on. It's THAT bad.

i noticed a few times he was rolling 1 dice even though he had the numbers, so yeah it wasn't in his favor at all
@korg47237 most of the time it looked like he was rolling 3, but well see the dice rolls on Tuesday when he releases his vod
I just realized you get a +2 troop bonus if you own the area when you trade in the cards, so there's actually a reason to hold cards and not instant trade-in.

When someone takes Italy from Chilled, all I heard was the Cloaker dash noise from Payday 2
The dice luck made the game. Hilarious every time.
I like how civil they can be in a game of risk by not taking out the weakened players so everyone gets content. BUT! That is how you lose the game of risk. If you let someone survive long enough to build up the cards and take 1 really good round they can really turn it around.
I understand why the set-up of this game is rarely shown 😅. I’ve watched one other channel play this, and they just get into the game immediately, but I still love this channel
I personally enjoy seeing the draft. Gives you a little extra psychology into why things are the way they are. For those that don't care about that, fast forwarding is always an option. (Please don't read that last part with attitude or sass, lol, don't intend it to come across that way.)

I got when it was first released, and I've been playing it on our old Gameboy Advance every year since then with my brothers. That's literally my favorite game ever.
That was a great game! I played it on a gameboy emulator, years ago.

I grew up playing risk! Love this game
My friend and I watched this and we did the math. One piece in Risk is apparently the equivalent of a field army, which is 100,000-200,000 troops. Chilled's assaults at the end would've been twice as large as Operation Barbarossa and the ones over water would've been 30 times as large as D-Day. Needless to say, god I love this game lol

50:25 the best thing you can do here is probably go up through Ukraine with the Italian troops and smash through the 11 troops of Iceland from behind. Then reinforce either to greenland or from greenland into iceland.

Greenland 100% is part of Europe... it's widely autonomous, but belong to the "kingdom of Denmark". So Idk what this game is on about

@@Crazyness1994I mean, it's a board game for general audiences, of course it's gonna have an extremely oversimplified layout of countries and territories. This game isn't supposed to teach people about history or geography.

My advice you should take over a country to get more cards if you wanna know how much each country gives you you should click the bars going up near the left corner it will put a number above each country and that number above each country is how much Bo us cards you get
