I got mine to work, but if you look at the Google Play and Amazon feedback it is poor because many people do not understand the process by which a track to follow is created. Please do a video explaining (using some flow charts or graphics) that a .gpx cannot be directly loaded on to a 420 device. It must be first loaded to the app so that the latter can create a NEW file with the turn-by-turn directions encoded (having file name ending in -1). Second tip is that if you are using Strava, your saved routes (for creating tracks to follow) will only load up on the app for synchronization with the device if saved as "PUBLIC". You can edit to change it as a means to minimizing what is synched each time the app is used. I'm running Android 12 and generally ride with my phone off or in sleep and the 420 does the rest once the turn-by-turn directions have been loaded up at home. My phone does not have a data connection; only wifi at home. Best features are display, which is superior to color in bright sunlight and battery life. Worst feature is instruction manual. For the next firmware update, I'd like to see a pictogram option, in place of one of the language options, where symbols like a heart are used instead of word. Little bars on top or below could be used to indicate max, min, etc. This would put the pictogram in the empty space preceding the number. Also for very large numbers, make the decimal digit smaller, like on a Wahoo.
I've had the 420 for about a year and it's very good. I tend to save group rides using Follow Track, again good except the navigation turn information is wrong, I'm in Thailand. I use breadcrumbs though so it's OK, I just ignore the turn info
I what the change the start of a week in my Bryton Activ app. Here in Germany the first day of the week is Monday and the 7th and last day is Sunday but Bryton use Sunday as default for start of the week. Would be great when someone can help me to fix that problem, thanks in advance!

Yes, it can detect if you enter in any part of the route, it will display "out of route" and show your position in relation with the expected route if you are still near it.
No, only when you upload the file to the 420 unit. When the track is transfered via bluetooth to the 420 there is no need to connect your smartphone with the unit while using the "follow track function"
This procedure is complicated and very disappointing. I was expecting that the route created on app can be loaded to the device directly and the device immediately prompts to start navigation. This would be a typical use case when you are out in the field and need navigation to the new destination.
Finding teh same. Very very fiddly just to get a route. I got the GPS so i would nto have to piss about with shitty phone apps but like everything these days you have to use shitty phone apps.
Hi there. Rider 320 does not support follow track function. The main differences between 420 and 320 are follow track and smart trainer/workout features.

Hello, thank you for your question! Yes, it is possible to record a ride while following a track and then sync it afterwards to STRAVA (please ensure you have enabled Strava first). Additionally if you enable auto-sync on your Bryton Active app, your ride, after the recording is finished, will automatically sync to your Bryton Active and Strava accounts.

The background music gets in the way of the instructions. It makes understanding the instructions more difficult. Please reduce the volume of the background music when the narrator is speaking.
@@sumitkhuranaa This one has an accurate GPS and is well priced. If you don't need to record rides or mapping, go with a simple magnet based one like Cateye Strada. Otherwise for full maps, Wahoo is probably the best but is expensive. Garmin has some nice climbing features and a new solar version. I only look at HR and grade on the climbs, so I went with this and am happy. Follow track works, but in an urban environment, many GPS units won't be accurate enough to distinguish a bike path that runs parallel to a busy road.
Hi Bryton, I can't seem to sync strava courses to my bryton 410, only routes planned on the Bryton app appear on my device. Auto-sync is setup and everything is authorized. Activities are synced to strava. I had a very long firmware update from my app on the mobile but I don't know if I'm on the latest version, your website doesn't seem to work for me for some reason. I'm on version R024, 004, 0006. Please help, thanks!
You have to save the courses as "PUBLIC". There should be no padlock icon beside the course name. You can edit and change from private and re-save. I had the same problem and it works now.

Once the Rider 420 is turned on, it will automatically search for satellite signals. It may take 30-60 secs to acquire signal. Please make sure you avoid the obstructed environments.
The 420 is becoming unusable, the memory gets full very quick, I'm going to have to stop using follow track as it freezes after a while and stops recording a ride. The reason for this is probably the firmware updates are taking extra memory. I'm doing a factory reset a couple times a week now. No reply from Bryton Sports, they've stopped responding

Tunr your bluetooth off an on in your phone, sometimes the app via your phone just doesn't see the device.

I think that only routes starred in strava are synced with the Bryton app, have you tried it?
