  • In honor of the families from Apalachee High School in Georgia. I can't just move on as if nothing happened. We can't just "get used to" these tragedies. This is not normal. Unnecessary. As artists, the least we can do is speak out when these things occur, and make it easier for people to discuss how we can make things better. I'm an artist, and so, these are my best tools to make some sort of contribution. That's the best I can do. What can YOU do?

    We need MORE channels and creators like you. It is your honesty and straight forward delivery of your views that is a breath of fresh air. Especially now in the chaos of gaslighting and obfuscation of personal views. It's important to share our views and listen to one another. Just resorting to attacking other views accomplishes nothing.
    Speaking of gun violence, red flag laws would go a long way in reducing gun violence for so many reasons. Project 2025 would defund red flag laws and allow MORE people to carry concealed weapons on their person. Even the old "wild west" was never as violent as it was portrayed. But, that would change if more people are allowed to conceal weapons on their person. Background checks, gun registration, and red flag laws are a must. It's so obvious.
    If this video makes people unsub from your channel? Good riddance. I want your channel to grow because it deserves to. Because your honesty is what is needed now. Especially during these times. Keep doing what you're doing. I love your work. Truly LOVE your work.

      @@AllThingsFilm1 thank you so much, I really appreciate that. Amazing how in this country, we can obtain a driver's license so much easier than getting a license to carry a gun. As someone who was adopted, for many years I could easily have gotten a license to carry a gun, but I was never allowed to have my own original birth certificate. Our values are completely skewed in this country.

    When I'm in the city and I see someone carrying responsibly feel safer. the problem is that not enough law abiding citizens had pew pews. If they did the bad guy would have been taken out before major loss of innocent life. Pew Pews are used to save lives 6x more than they are used to take lives. @@Merc399 guns have saved six times more people? Where does that come from? And what context? is that statistic based on something like, for example, if there are six times more than 17 dead kids in Parkland still alive, that means guns saved six times more people? I don’t understand how that statement has anything to do with all of the school shootings? And shootings in churches and synagogues and concerts? And supermarkets? And highways? What does “guns have saved six times more people” have to do with any of that? Are you talking about in war? What’s the source? And don’t inject any tone, I’m not adding any at all. Dad is still in icu. This story is tough. Def worth trying to prevent again. I like guns. I can carry. I wont. The typical crimes w guns are stolen guns . There is a time and place . Not in the city. Its not too long ! Well maybe im a slow commentor😂 idk . You good! It makes me sick what the kids may be dealing w these days although was the kid on meds for anything i wonder. The whole gun to a kid still should of been locked up inless they lived on a property large enough to support a shot in the air w no harm. Hp rifle is around 3 miles . 🤷🫡🫶Thank You

      @RockWILK  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      So sorry to hear about your father. Hoping for the best possible outcome. As far as the guns... sadly, the majority of the mass shootings in our country over the past few years have been with guns bought legally and owned legally. And why are assault rifles even available to the general public? They are WAR killing machines. Not for shooting up in the air. Not for deer, or birds, but to kill people. That's what they were designed for. It's just a bad culture, we are the most dangerous country in the world, and that's a factual statement, backed by statistics. No country experiences what we do, not even close, and so... I love to drive really fast, but I'm not driving 150 mph down any neighborhood road knowing that someone's kid might dart out on the street because their basketball bounced too far, or some elder might be walking their dog, etc, etc. We give up things that we might like for the safety of others sometimes. That's a good society. One that cares for one another. Not one that says, "I do whatever I want to do because I'm free". That ain't freedom. That's chaos. And it leads to death. I mean, damn... we are USED TO kids getting shot up in school. Crazy. Selfish, clueless society. Has anyone even thought about the kids in Georgia just a few days after they were massacred? Nope, because it's like a Sunday football game. Just another day, and on to the next. We suck. ;)

    Honesty always has a price. Especially for a sensitive being it can be painful to not compromise. I would say that in this age of chaos many are looking to and genuinely needing to be uplifted, catch a dose of happiness and momentarily offset the pain with a bit of pleasure. That may seem shallow. But, you can hear everyone's pain if you listen hard enough. Your brief message is right on. I know we are probably on different sides of a number of issues but common sense and healthy dialogue should be givens. Maybe , like all wars, there needs to be suffering to the point of utter exhaustion (moral, emotional, financial etc...) before the equilibrium can be restored. Keep onward and upward.

      I can understand people looking for that kind of brief respite from all the madness, but I'm probably not that place. ;) I mean, it's a crapshoot with me. I'm not LOOKING for the difficult things, but when they happen, or are happening, or when any kind of injustice is hurting people or the planet, I'm gonna speak on it, every single time, because to be honest, as an artist, and this is just me, I take that as a responsibility to take those hard things and make them easier for people to digest, as painful or annoying as the realities may be, that's the exact reason I choose to be an artist, as opposed to a straight up activist or politician, atty, something like that. I take what I do best and try and contribute like that. If I fail, if I succeed, I will always try. Having said that, I am also always looking at the good side of things, but people get my work twisted because I speak the truth, and they overlook the beautiful in my work, and that's, at least in my opinion, more a comment on our society, or our democracy. We are spoiled and "just don't want to talk about it", but if we rest on those laurels... we may find ourselves losing the privilege of being able to ignore, roll our eyes, not want to engage, feel like "as long as I'm good over here, I don't care about you over there" kind of freedom. We can't take that for granted, and just look at what's at stake here in November.... Sobering.
