They have always been performing this particular song a bit faster live. It may be a simple mistake, or a purposeful enhancement to the song, who knows 🙃
This is running fast. This is two or three tones above Morrissey’s normal register at this point. If you listen to the drum fills you can definitely hear it.
@@markofsaltburn It is too fast at normal speed. I tried running it at 0.75 speed and that's too slow but you can tell the real speed is somewhere between the two. Unfortunately there's no setting for that speed.
Yes! Sublime version. Love Johnny's 'flangy' guitar sound here. Love the vibe. JUST LOVE!! I so get off on randomly finding these uploads of yours Ann. Yeah, I could just search through all your uploads, which I may well do some day, but discovering them accidentally or as random TH-cam suggestions is a far more satisfying introduction. A bit like NOT opening chrissy presents early! THANK YOU ANN!
Never seen that picture before, it's lovely.
Sounds a little bit faster than the one released on Hatful of Hollow.

Certainly has been sped up - Morrissey's voice carries that characteristic raspy/nasal tinge indicative of it.
Definitely… it’s great at this pace though
Johnny Marr's chords are always perfect!
My favourite Smith's song by far

This is a great version. I've never heard it before. Thanks for posting this.
Oh how we need some kind of Smiths rarities/outtakes/BBC sessions box set.
Unlikely to happen any time soon, because of you-know-who.

And I'm not happy and I'm not sad.
Why are all the early demos so much better than the fuxking 2011 mixes on Spotify lol. Not even listenable compared to this version
Recorded during the same sessions for single William it was really nothing 1984.
