God's Story: Jesus is the True Vine

In John 15, Jesus talks about being the True Vine. What does this mean? When Jesus said I AM the True Vine, He was saying that Christians should become more and more Christ-like. We can easily learn this through the Golden Rule: love others MORE than yourself!
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5 NIV)
