      @@Swamp_Swagger We're Tennessee, that's why, dadgum it! Lol. Seriously, though. We kinda have a history of playing good teams in our division tough and then losing to schools from either non-Power 5 conferences or (worse) the FCS. What people forget is that the Prayer at Jordan Hare bailed the Tigers out of an epic collapse. They were up 37-17 in the 4th Quarter and the Dawgs actually ended up taking the lead.

    • @michaelcarpenter9004

      Which Georgia never should’ve taken the lead, because Murray’s knee was clearly down before the ball crossed the plane. They reviewed it and still gave Georgia the touchdown. But it’s Georgia and Auburn, the two teams that get bailed out by the refs more than anyone. It must’ve been hard on the refs to determine who to bail out between the two.

    @2:24 Okay here is something i have wondered for years about clocks in the NFL. In hockey they break it down to tenths of a second. So while the whole digit may read 0. it may actually be 0.8. You see replays where a goal is scored at 0:00.02
    So in this case, the clock shows 0 but does that account for the tenths, like is the 0:00 displayed truly 0? or is it just showing the whole number?

    I love how ND was called for the PI, but Clemson wasn’t.
    Not a fan of either team. But those are almost identical plays with different outcomes.

    • @bluesilver12
      @bluesilver12 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember correctly, the ND play was more blatant with the pick than the Clemson.

    • @landonhamilton9151
      @landonhamilton9151 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it almost seems like they’re identical but they’re not. The execution on the offensive side of the ball is close to identical but that’s not the key to the play. The key is on the defensive side of the ball. When you look at ND’s play, you can clearly see both receivers trying to push both of FSU’s players out of the way, which results in an easy offensive PI call. But in Clemson’s play, Scott ran at Humphrey on the outside and Humphrey initiated contact with him. That’s the key here. Humphrey was playing tight coverage and pushed back against Scott at which point Scott could just fall down and act like he couldn’t match Humphrey’s strength, which worked also as an obstacle in the way of Brown who was too late recognizing what was happening anyway to catch up to Renfrow.

    • @dannygiles2442
      @dannygiles2442 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Florida state defender initiated contact on C.J. what what aggravates me about that call is that referees aren't anywhere near as consistent as they should be. I see that exact same play allowed all the time, it just so happens that this referee decided he was going to throw the flag at the biggest and most important point of the game. Earlier in the very same game ND had run the same exact play with no flag, this time they decide to throw it. That's what aggravates me. If you're going to throw a flag for that play then throw the flag every time it's run, don't wait till a team is about to win the game and then say "oh I'm throwing it now".

  • @PunchNugget

    The play that comes to mind that wasn’t in your video is the Jake Locker play against BYU in 2008 where Locker scores a rushing TD with 2 seconds left to bring the Huskies within 1 point (BYU 28, UW 27). The refs penalize Locker for throwing the ball up in the air after the TD and 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty is assessed on the point after kick. BYU proceeds to block the kick and escape with a 28-27 victory.
    Another play that comes to mind is the final play of the Hawaii vs Washington game in 2007. To put this into context, this was the final game of the season for both teams. #10 Hawaii was 11-0 and looking to make history by going 12-0 for the 1st time in school history and making it into a BCS bowl game, while 4-8 Washington was playing for pride. Underdog Washington went up 21-0 in the 1st quarter and with UW leading 28-7 midway through the 2nd quarter, it looked like the upset curse of 2007 would strike 1 last time. However Hawaii was able to orchestrate an incredible comeback - scoring 28 unanswered points. With only 44 seconds left, Washington got the ball back, trailing for the 1st time in the game. Locker led the Huskies on a quick 74 yard drive down to the Hawaii 4 yard line only for his final pass to be deflected and picked off, sealing the historic 35-28 win for Hawaii.

    I’m the furthest thing from an Auburn fan. But damn if I didn’t want them to win that championship against Florida State. After everything they pulled off in the final weeks of the season to even get there, they deserved it.

    UCF’s 2017 and 2018 seasons. In 2017, they were the only undefeated FBS program but then they got shafted of the CFP because of how rigged the ranking is. In 2018, they were riding the longest active FBS win streak with 25 and they got shafted again

      Too bad a deal for UCF. They deserved better. But as a BYU fan for over 50 years and experiencing the multiple shafts BYU got over that time period... and the cries from everyone of “your not worthy” kinda cuts to the heart.

    If the UofL vs Clemson game isn't in this one, it should be in part 2. (UofL fans are still a bit miffed about the misplacement of that yard to get flag.)

      Actually, there a couple of plays you could pull from that game.
      th-cam.com/video/e3tUgEFePN4/w-d-xo.html The aforementioned, just 1 yard short of 1st down and losing the game
      But if you ever do a highlight of touchdown takeaways, this one has to be in your list: th-cam.com/video/e3tUgEFePN4/w-d-xo.html

    You SERIOUSLY mean to tell me that the New Era Bowl where K-State got SCREWED isn’t in here? Can’t recall the year (2011-13ish?) but I do recall Regis from “Regis and Kelly in the morning” played the clip and showed how bad the refs screwed the Wildcats. Time running out we score. Down by two so we have to go for it but after the touchdown there was a flag. A flag for what? Excessive celebration for saluting the crowd. Not with his middle finger, not with a bunch of his teammates jumping on him, no refs around him to hear him say anything, just a salute. So instead of the 3 yard line, we get pulled back to the 18 yard line and as the ball is overthrown the receivers head on the final play for 2 points, the refs missed a PI call that slowed that receiver. Talk about getting screwed!!

    Little did we know that the 16 Auburn LSU reversal would doom Auburn to 4 more seasons of complete and total mediocrity. Good luck UCF.
