Got this and a ATI bullpup. Thinking about making the Sipahi a truck gun instead of your regular run of the mill AR or AK. At $500 , I feel more comfortable driving around with this in the back than a $2000 rifle or rifle caliber pistol Id have to remove every night. With slugs and buckshot in one of those 20 rd mags, itll work out fine. Im glad you pointed out the high vel rds. Sipahi's are almost too well made, meaning they feel very heavy duty and solid and need a break in period. I was just surprised how much brass shells cost now. A lot has changed since I got my Moss 590 in early 2000

My go to weapon for home defense is a, TBP-12 a semi-automatic, 12-gauge Bullpup shotgun paid $219+tax, with an overall length of 29" it's perfect for close-in home defense. I added a green laser/ flashlight foregrip, an extra five round and 2 ten round magazines. The furthest in house shooting I would have to do would be 35 ft or less.
I keep it loaded with number 6 heavy bird shot and a full choke. I found that combination at those distances will put a dinner plate size hole through any drywall or hollow interior door.
I broke it in with 100 rounds of 00 Buckshot.
The only problems I had were operator induced. I loaded shells incorrectly in the magazine. I loaded the base rim of the upper shell incorrectly behind the rim of the lower shell. I have about 300 rounds now, mostly heavy birdshot, problem free.
I'm almost 70 and I love shooting this shotgun.

The choke tubes in Turkish shotguns generally use the Benelli style of notching the chokes to tell you how tight they are. More notches = more open, fewer notches = tighter. 5 would be cylinder, 1 would be full.

I have an older BP-12 (gen 1, has an AR-style charging handle) which otherwise looks like a twin to your Sipahi. I was told to expect a break-in period of 75-100 rounds, but I haven't had any failures yet. I made sure to use fairly hot ammo. One issue I did have was that the magazine over-traveled into the well and jammed so badly that I had to disassemble the gun to get things back in order. (I'm so used to giving AR mags a thump to make sure they're in, but I'll have to break that habit.) In my gun, the faux suppressor does have a practical function as a nut to hold the fore end together, so I'd be really careful before trying to shoot without it.

Great video. I passed up one of these at a show so I could do more research. I’m really liking this one! I hope I can find another one.

Change the choke to the modified. My first 50 shells were 1350 fps. I got 5 failure to feed on the first 15 shells or so. But after I swapped the choke. It’s run flawlessly ever since. After 50 rounds it’s should eat anything you put in it. But found the choke to solve the cycling problem. I ran another 50 shells through mine today. My shoulder is a bit sore. LOL

Hello, I recently bought a Sipahi that’s almost exactly the same but the slide is on the same side as of the ejection port. I’m commenting because when I took it out to the range do shoot it and feel it out. It wasn’t cycling how yours does. I would shoot and the expended cartridge wouldn’t eject and I would have to to manually eject it and rack between all 5 shots. Anyone have any advice? I would appreciate it. Looking at videos to see if there is anyone experiencing the same issues

Have you tried high velocity ammo to break it in... High Velocity is usually considered shells that shoot 1300 or more feet per second. After atleast a few hundred rounds it will be able to shoot and cycle the cheaper low velocity, low brass ammo just fine.

    Not sure why yet.

Probably because it's not made for target loads. Run some 3" Buckshot and slugs and tell us it doesn't cycle.
