I said I wanted D’Antoni when I first heard we were pairing DG with Spida. He might be retired by now ,but whoever we get needs to be better then or as good as JB or this will look bad on the front office. Would love to see a video about some potential coaching candidates 👍
The move had to be made - team was hitting ceiling and injuries burning minutes in regular season caught up to them in playoffs - just like Thibs and the Knicks
Bring in a coach who can design an offense around core guys. Do not trade anyone before you implement a better offense...
Koby is hard to believe. He is playing the game of trying to convince everyone that he knows best. JB needed to go, but if he does not break up the backcourt he will be punching his own ticket out. They need a lot more offense on the wing regardless of what guard is controlling the floor.
For the sake of argument, he handed DG the bag and he has never been an all nba player. if you look at what he gave up for Mitchell , who by all accounts is a high level all star and fringe all nba 2nd teamer when healthy. You then have to consider also one who now has a pretty poor playoff resume, mostly in his time in Utah. He had a 2 game lead against the champs and lost that series, had a 2-0 lead against the Clippers and lost that series. Had no answer for the Rockets. Had no answer for the Knicks. Took them 7 games to get past Suggs, and he sat out the last 2 games against White and Jrue.
I really like Mitchell, he is the Cavs best player. But that is also the problem, and the one Koby cannot do anything about apparently. He better hope he gets a really sweet offer for DG soon. But chances are after selling off good players and assets for a guy now holding him hostage he won't get many.
Yeah and good luck getting any decent replacement coach without roster moves as it would be career suicide, with DG wanting Mitchell gone or to be gone himself if not.
Trade Garland! They brought in Rubio to hold Garland's hand. That was working until Rubio got hurt. Garland is too immature. There's friction between him and DM. Give DM a % ownership in the Cavs to keep him around.

Don’t have any insight at all but I think the ego of players picking their coaches can be attractive. Not sure the firing should really weigh all that much. Guaranteed millions of dollars for not working isn’t a horrible thing for someone to endure.

This team is now on a path backwards, Mitchell will not resign, Darius will be traded and other negative moves will take place, this team will not make the playoffs for years to come. Thank u for your help.

They will have to throw money at the team no matter what happens. There is no incentive for them to suck for the next five seasons. No firsts that they outright own.
