Thank you for this video. People need to please realize that small watches like this are not only meant for people smaller wrist or women. It’s also for people that just don’t want a gigantic watch on their wrist.
Nice review! The first one I see commenting on screen clarity. Have you tried the 2s solar? Is there a noticiable difference between the solar and non solar version? I would prefer screen visibility/contrast over solar charging. Thank you!
I suspect you will not see any difference unless you put one next to the other i.e. solar and non solar. But, saying that, the battery life is superb with the Instinct so it the extra battery life from the solar really needed?
Very good! I have a question. If you follow the map that you put on the GPS, while you are following it can you see what the altitude is at the current moment?
The Instinct 2s is very different than the Fenix, the reality is the Fenix 2 is a great but budget watch where the Fenix is very much a 'top end' GPS watch. I hope this helps.
@@ukgpstraining thanks liked the look of the fenix 6s pro. Can you plot a route as you show using an iPad as we don’t have a Mac etc . Also I have use AllTrails in my iPhone have you had any experience with this .Many thanks .so many questions 😂
Hello, nice video. Just a question… if something goes wrong, will you really waste time on a 1.2in watch screen or would you take out your 6in phone anyway?
If you download a gpx file to the watch, then start to follow the route. Does it still need a signal? I currently use OS Map App and as long as i download my map , i do not need a signal on my phone. The route still works.
Thanks for your message you do not need any mobile data / wifi signal just a satellite lock on the watch and you can follow your course, generally with a good view of the sky satellite lock is achieved within a minute, we hope this helps

Great point, thanks for sharing it with everyone.
Really dont like the look of a big watch.
10:10 Garmin Instinct 2s not Fenix :)
Well spotted!
Does the “s” version feel to small for you? How tall are you?
I am 6ft tall, I do like the s version, but saying that the Instinct 2 watch is not big in the first place.

Yes you can set data boxes on the trip computer to show your current elevation, we hope this helps

I often fail whilst navigating with a watch, this is what I do at that point - th-cam.com/video/KOSi2dEFWAI/w-d-xo.html

Is instinct 2 strap can be used for instinct 2s ?
Sadly the watches use different bands - Instinct 2s uses a Quick release 20, whilst the Instinct uses a Quick release 22 band. I hope this helps.
It would be nice if you had put the watch next to the phone to better understand the size :)
Thanks for your feedback, it is appreciated.
whats ETE
ETA stands for estimated time of arrival to your final destination and ETE stands for estimated time enroute (between waypoints/finish).
@@ukgpstraining thanks!!
Colour of it , is it graphite?
Yes, it’s Graphite.
Is instinct 2s too small for men?
If you have a small wrist you are all good with an Instinct 2s
The strap is too small for men, the watch is fine.
