(giggling!) I started a text group for sharing the most entertaining of these stories with some of my coworkers. This one will be the next to be shared. Thank you for posting! Very fun.
Has anyone else noticed all the apex predators look a lot like the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies? Regardless of which AI generates the pictures, the share a Lot of similarities with Xenomorphs? Some even look a lot like the Alien/Predator hybrid.
Definitely one of the best Sarah Chen stories to date, if not the best. A bunch of the others are too... wacky, I guess. Largely illogical and leans heavily on overplayed humorous metaphors at this point. This one was different.
Also, the *most believable* thing in this entire story is re-watching that moment of security footage spectacularness at least 47 times...because I'd be watching it that many times, too--and *I'm* a human! XDDD
Ok a human student wrestler an alien apex predator and wins ok let's see he did the same thing with an earth apex predator a one momma grizzly bear oh there he is over there and there and some over there So tired of all the stories are the same humans win all the time
LOL! I guess you're not old enough to remember the TV show "Gentle Ben". The star of the show was an honest to God eighteen hundred pound grizzly bear that had been raised from a cub and trained to work with actors and stunt people. Highly intelligent, almost as smart as a dog. Grizzly Bears have been known to share space on rivers with humans during salmon runs. And momma griz is usually only aggressive if she thinks you're a danger to her cubs. African lions and Bengal tigers in circuses have a far higher rate of turning on their trainers than the dancing bears in the verse same circuses.
Sarah Chen is a character in many stories. She does kick ass a lot.

Loved it! O needed a good chuckle.
Professor: "...covered in iridescent scales-..."
Me: "OOH, PRETTY!!" 8D
Professor: *uses squirtgun filled with liquified dihydrogen monoxide* "No! Bad student!"
Me: "But, but, why friend-colored, if not actually friend??" *gets squirted again*

The best Sci fi story I've heard for some time. You look a bit strange standing in a supermarket laughing.

Ah Gentle Ben, I seldom watched it (I was busy when it was on, 67 to 69 I think), but ite was interesting/fun when I did watch.
Woke feminist dribble, yep it's AI weak girl boss time again. Story is only good to put you to sleep.
Sarah "Everything can be a pet" Chen.
