I’m amazed at all of the big hearts in this community. I’m an extreme introvert who loves helping people but without having to be around them (if that makes sense) 😂. Carnivore/lions way of eating has me actually wanting to be around others in a controlled social setting. Baby steps…
I started a low carb lifestyle in August of 2023, and ultimately found the carnivore lifestyle in September. I was 285 at the time. Around October I realized that I could not cook steak or chicken very good, because I was having trouble swallowing any grainy meats... It got bad enough that I sought a doctors help... in November I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Although this is a life-changing diagnosis, I am supported with the fact, that carnivore is the best diet to fight cancer. As of now, after 5-weeks of chemo, and 6-weeks of proton therapy, I have lost a combined 60lbs, weighing in at 225lbs. I say combined, because swallowing at this very moment is very painful now, and at time I find I'd rather fast, than deal with the pain. So a combo of carnivore, and cancer has put me at the weight I am at now. Ultimately, surgery is in my future, around the end of March or early April, but until then, I will continue to eat the carnivore lifestyle, working through the pain. I am a new subscriber, as I found your journey compelling, and I thank you for sharing it.
Hi Joe, your reply to my comment regarding the start of the pandemic had me nodding in agreement. I had the exact same experience. I went from being in the office to working from home full time and my IT group never went back even after the shutdowns lifted. I used to joke about my crushing loneliness and it took a long time for me to get out of the depression it all caused. Anyway, I started carnivore for the weight loss but will stay because of the benefits to my mental health. It's a great community as well which was entirely unexpected. Take care!
Really enjoyed your first carnivore video and pleased with your update. Our generation has been fed so much rubbish about food and diet over the last 40 years - we’re having to research, test and come to our own conclusions - so refreshing to hear real experience from a real guy! You’ve got this!
Hi Joe, I'm assuming you work in IT support for a large company ? Have you thought about being out in the field ? I run an IT Support co. in the UK and Covid didn't really affect us, still drove and flew to customer sites. Anyhow enough of the Geek stuff, keep up the carnivore - it's fantastic for health and wellbeing :)
Appreciate the update. Don’t worry about weight plateaus. For me the weight loss is a bonus to all the other benefits. I’m on month 7 and have plenty of short stall outs on weight loss, but for me even when the weight loss stopped I was still losing inches on my waist size. Currently 7” lost and 45lbs down. Been stuck on the 45 for almost a month but lost another inch on my waist in that month.
I can attest to that also. The weight distibution definitely changes. The scale may not move much, but there's a definite notice in the way clothes fit.
Thanks for the update, really nice listening to your story...This carnivore diet sounds really good. Am wondering what you are actually eating each day and would love to see a video on what you eat in a week. Many thanks 🙏
I will definitely think about doing a video about that. Still too early for me I think because changes continue to happen. For the most part though, 80/20 ground beef, bacon, eggs, fattier cuts of chuck steak filet and the occasional rib-eye steak are the main components of what I eat weekly.
@mrfaiycake4333 excited for your interest in this lifestyle! Don't be afraid to do more research on it! There is definitely some important nuances you can learn from the many, many carnivore people and doctors that are on youtube. But fatty meat is key! I love being carnivore and feel blessed to have found it after all my years of being plant based. I'm excited to keep seeing Joe's journey!
If you're having a weight stall, check out Marie Emmerich's channel. She's an expert on protein sparing fast. You just eat lean meat without adding any fat. If you do this for too long, though, your body thinks you're starving and slows down your metabolism to save you. So the trick is to eat fat again the next day. If you do this intermitently, on lean days you lose weight in adiposity without losing muscle of becoming malnourished or slowing down your metabolism. Good luck!
Thanks for the comment. I will check her out. Oddly, that's exactly what I've done. Added a bit more fat to the meals, and it's actually extended my fast time.
You could totally rock the live streams if they're available to you now. Id highly recommend them as there's more interaction between you and your audience. Plus it gains you tons of watch time hours 😉. You barely edit your videos and already have a knack for making an interesting talking point marathon so get busy.❤😊
I'm going to read up on live streams and make sure one of my laptops has the processing power and good enough video to explore that. I enjoy watching live streams and think I'd enjoy the interaction with an audience. Got a three day weekend coming up, so it may be a good time to run some tests! Thanks for you input John, much appreciated!

I was a road warrior for years providing support. I much prefer my role now :)

just search youtube for carnivore diet, there are dozens of channels. I've been 100% carnivore for 9 months now, never felt better.

Audio way too quiet
Thanks for letting me know. I'm still learning a lot with all the equipment and editing.
Yes. Sooooo so quiet yet the biggest microphone ❤
@@godstendermercies6394 is that like “walk softly but carry a big stick”? 🤣
Sounds great on my phone 🤳.❤ I've had issues with some TV viewers in the past so up the volume by 5 to 10 db and always preview on the television. 😊
