@@samdaniels2 the beautiful old buildings yes, the new ones absolutely not, Manchester is lacking landmarks, all the skyscrapers are designed by Simpson Haugh and they're terrible.

@@mi...... How are they terrible? The old and new are both gorgeous. They create a really nice contrast. But Simpson Haugh are some of the best architects in the country and I think you will find it difficult to find people who agree with you. Most people love Manchester city centre.
If you want to complain about skyscrapers, go to Leeds. Whatever you think about Manchester is nothing compared to what Leeds city council have done to that place...

@@samdaniels2 Sorry but Leeds city centre is also very nice, and the newer tall buildings are much better then they were 10 years ago. Both Manchester and Leeds have improved loads.
