The fast idle linkage on the side can get gummed up and won't release when you step on the gas so I'd take a look at that and see how clean it is, if it all greasy use some good carb cleaner and spray all that linkage down (I'd recommend putting a rag underneath on the intake as it can get messy) and whatever you do DON'T spray it with lubricant (like WD-40) as dust will then stick to it. Anyway if the fast idle linkage sticking ISN'T the problem maybe your slow idle is just set too high?
I like everything manual myself👍🏽
I know same here!
Did you convert this quadrajet? And if so, what choke style was it originally?
It was originally a qjet but at some point it was switched from auto choke to manual.
So you have a hot choke, and an electric choke and of course, as demonstrated here a manual choke. ❤
I have a chainsaw that works like this
I have a AVS 2 manual choke but not sure why it's sounding like it's idling to high

@@juliusfonferek yeah I don't think the guy set it right cause it's a brand new AVS 2 manual choke carburetor like fresh out the box
@@Mr.Frost181 yep then I'm guessing the slow idle has to be set
@@juliusfonferek yeah I'm have to bring it to a better mechanic
@@Mr.Frost181 first I would try turning down the idle screw a tad or do you think something else is the problem?
Awesome bro!
